I bought the 2 Pack Wireless Bluetooth Microphone for iPhone/iPad/Android for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday. She had no problem connecting it to her iPad and starting using it at once. She ran to the far side of our backyard, about 30 feet away, made a short video and on playback the audio quality was better than I expected. She even did some cartwheels and the mic stayed in place. Her iPad was attached to a tri-pod and she had no problem connecting the audio receiver. The charging/storage case is plus, especially for an 11-year-old.

The media could not be loaded. Don't buy it!! False advertisement. It says you can record upto 100 feet far but in fact it only goes 5 feet or so. Very disappointed! You can see the video it stops transmitting after 5 or 6 feet.

There are many wireless lavalier microphones on Amazon, and this one is a relatively basic option. What it does well (though most competitors have similar features): - Build Quality: The build quality is decent. - Charging Case: It comes with a charging case similar to AirPods' cases, with a nice display. Taking the microphones out of the case automatically turns them on and pairs them—very user-friendly. - Noise Reduction: The microphone has an optional noise reduction feature that works, though sometimes it reduces the gain. Even when noise reduction is turned off, there is still some level of automatic noise reduction. - Compatibility: I have tested and proved It worked seamlessly with an iPhone (via Lightning) and a PC (via USB-C). It should also work with most Android phones that support USB OTG. - 2 mics: At this price, it provides decent functionality. You can use two microphones simultaneously, which is excellent for recording conversations. From my perspective, this is its most valuable use case. If you only need a single remote microphone, a Bluetooth microphone or headset might be a better option. - Magnetic Clips: The detachable magnetic clips are a nice touch, allowing you to attach the microphones to iron surfaces. Limitations of this entry-level microphone: If certain features are important to you, you might need to look for a more advanced microphone. 1. No Gain Control: There is no built-in gain control, so you’ll need to rely on software, which can be inconvenient, especially on phones. A slightly more expensive microphone may include this feature. 2. Mediocre Recording Quality: Compared to my $100 condenser microphone, this one lacks low-frequency detail. Still, considering the price ($30 for two microphones), this is expected. 3. Fixed Sampling Rate: The sampling rate is locked at 48kHz. While sufficient for casual recording, some users might prefer higher rates, which are premium features at a higher price point. 4. Mixed Audio Channels: The input from both microphones is combined into a single channel, with no option to separate them. Again, this is a premium feature. 5. Limited Expandability: The manufacturer doesn’t offer the option to buy additional microphones. Since these microphones aren’t great at picking up distant sounds, this is a limitation if you need to record three or more people. Yes, this is a premium feature too. 6. Transmission Quality: The microphones work best within line of sight, as even a closed wooden door can degrade signal quality. This is expected since they’re primarily designed for video recording—not as spy microphones. 7. Lightning Adapter: It uses a USB-C to Lightning adapter for older iPhones, but there’s no space for the adapter in the charging case. The small adapter is easy to misplace. There are two things I really want to see the manufacturer make some improvement: 1. Better Manual: The manual is poorly written and misses important information. For example, I discovered through trial and error that a single button press enables or disables noise reduction, and double-clicking mutes or unmutes the microphone. The manual doesn’t mention this at all. 2. Snug Fit in Charging Case: The microphones don’t fit snugly in the charging case and can be a bit loose. If not placed carefully, they might not charge. Fortunately, the charging case displays the charging status, so you can find out immediately.
