    • Great Value, But Installation Takes Patience
I grabbed this 2‑pack of tempered glass protectors for my Retroid Pocket 5, and they work pretty well, but installing them was kind of a pain. There’s no alignment tool, and since the glass goes right to the edge, there’s basically zero room for error. I had to peel it up and readjust it a bunch of times before it finally lined up. Once it was on, it looked good, but the surface picks up fingerprints super easily. I keep a microfiber cloth in my case now because I’m wiping the screen all the time. Did not fit my RP5. Used both to make sure one wasn’t out of spec. Neither one would settle, and edges were very rough.

These need to be put on absolutely perfect in order to work. I got these to replace the ones that only protect the screen, but there is no buffer, at all, so if they are not placed almost perfectly, there will be air bubbles. The first one went on poorly, but the second one I was able to get it on satisfactorily. However, as another reviewer mentioned, while the first one was clear, and looked great on the screen, the second has some artifacts that make the screen shimmer. I wish I had known that one was going to look worse than the other, because I would have used that one as a trial. The previous screen protector I had on before was crystal clear, so it was like not having a screen protector on, at all, but the one that I was actually able to get aligned makes the screen look cheap and plasticky. This did come with some screen cleaning wipes, alignment stickers, and a dust removal sticker, which definitely did come in handy, and allowed me to get mostly bubble-free coverage. If the quality didn't vary so much, I would have given it four stars for not having any buffer for cases/people who are less precise, but since there is such a noticeable difference between the first and second screen protector, I can't give it more than three stars. ... show more
