The only thing I wish was that you could bend the flaps of lights down. You can bend them up to where they cover more of an area with light. That is a great feature but I have one in my basement and when I walk down the stairs if I have the flap up, I am obviously blinded so I have to keep the flaps at the level of the light. There is the light in the middle, and I am referring to the other lights that are movable as flaps. Again, gives off a great amount of light, but I just wish that they could bend down instead of up. Other than that, I’m very happy with these lights, and Definitely suggest them for an area of a basement that you can’t see very well or a garage or if you basically only have one light socket that you need a pretty bright light for. For the people who say it’s not bright enough I don’t know what more they can want from a screw in lightbulb. I’ve used every type of light bulb, fluorescent bulbs, light fixtures, recessed, lighting, and just about any type of light one can imagine having in their home or work. These screw nicely into standard "open-bulb sockets" as often used in garages, unfinished basements, etc. and provide quite a bit of illumination. Their individually adjustable "paddle" LED panels allow light to be directed somewhat for optimum area illumination. I have not had these units installed for long, but so far they seem to work fine. I do notice that they generate quite a bit of heat on their backsides, so apparently some of their energy use is lost to heat (as with incandescent bulbs) which was a bit of a surprise to me - until I considered the "density" of LEDs in the units. The only thing that concerns me a bit is that they seem to be a bit "delicate", and might require extra careful handling - but once installed and carefully adjusted, they should be fine unless they get whacked by something. ... show more

We really needed to light up our basement and garage and WOW! Just one of these is more powerful than the 6 other regular LED bulbs. As easy to install as a regular bulb, and you can tilt and point these in different areas to increase the light where needed

I had some old, cheap CFL bulbs in the garage that I have been wanting to replace with LEDs for a while. The CFL bulbs are a little slow to warm up to full brightness, especially when it is cold in the garage during the winter. And while they have a nice warm color temperature, they are definitely not as bright as these LED panels. I installed these LED lights today and immediately noticed a difference. They come on instantly, they are bright, and the panels are adjustable if you need to throw light more directionally into certain areas. As you can tell from the "before" and "after" pics, the color temperature is a much cooler "white" than my previous CFL bulbs, but I do feel they are substantially brighter. (The difference in brightness may not come through in the pics very well due to how the camera automatically meters for brightness, but I assure you, the LEDs feel brighter.) Installation is literally as easy as screwing in a lightbulb (as they have a standard lightbulb screw-based connection), although since these are bigger and oddly shaped, they are a little awkward to hold while you are screwing them in. As for durability, time will tell, but I don't expect them to have issues as most LED products last substantially longer than even CFL. ... show more

In the past, I would install big tube lights in the garage. I'd have to put up several and it would take hours. I just put two of these in my two car garage, plugged them in where the garage door opener outlets are, and hung them using an eye hook and a short rope. I used a remote control to turn them on/off but the pull cord works well too. ... show more

Had the traditional lighting in my garage so it always felt like there was not enough light. Installed these and that made a huge difference, plus they can be adjusted directionally to were i need more light . Great upgrade

Even brighter than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. Being able to "aim" is nice, but doesn't really make that much of a difference since the light really does spread pretty wide. Was the ideal replacement for a conventional bulb in that is covers a much great area and brighter.
