We had an electrician install this light along with some ceiling fans. No problems with the installation. It is perfect for our entry foyer as our ceilings are less than 8 ft. The only negative for me is that with our low ceiling, you can see the stickers inside the fixture when the light is off--not so much when it is on. I peeled one large sticker off and took a picture of it for future reference. I purchased the bulbs they recommended on Amazon, Ascher E26, 700 Lumens--it takes 2. The wattage of the bulb says 6W, but that is LED wattage. I think some reviewers are confused about that. I would recommend. ... show more

The highest wattage they recommend using is 20w so if you are looking for a bright light this may not be the best option. Other than that easy to install and looks really nice.

I like this very much. It was easy to install, came with everything needed except for light bulbs. I thought the design was a simple modern classic. I did use it for outdoor porch, because I needed a flush light so the door was able to bypass it. It was from another review that said this is an open light, and they like the fact that flies would not get in the glass. At first, I thought just the opposite. That something covered would ensure that no flies would get inside, and then I realized that they will be attracted to the light, and they will find a way in if it is covered anyway .
