I got this for my bathroom window and they look great. Installed easily but I’m only giving 4 stars as I cannot get the wand that opens and closes the blinds I cannot get it into where it goes. Normally on previous blinds I’ve had this is the easiest part of installation. No luck for me and the directions that came with the blinds was thrown out. UPDATE: with excellent customer service assistance from the company of the Faux Wood Blinds. They were explaining how to get the wand into the hole that opens and closes the blinds. They were even going to send me a replacement but following their instructions not to be afraid to give it force while twisting and turning it clicked into place. I advised Keri no need to send me a replacement. I didn’t mention but these are great room darkening blinds. I’m going to purchase these for my bedroom,p.

Not too expensive and very well made. These replacements are nicer than existing, we picked grey and it looks true to color. Follow directions first one took 40 minutes the second 15 minutes so if you have a lot to do it gets easier. Makes room way darker too so very happy with this choice.

I ordered two blinds in gray for the dining room. My son installed them and installation was easy and quick. He was impressed with the blinds and the hardware that was included. They look terrific and as soon as the other windows are measured, I will be ordering this color and style for the entire house. I have bought several of these, they are often come damaged as a result of shipping. Manufacturer is willing to replace. I wish the twist wand would come preassembled. There is a good chance you will break the wand housing during assembly. They look great once assembled. They function for the most part very well. They are very sturdy and made with thick plastic. It takes a long time to twist the wand to open the slats. No problem pulling up or pulling down. A little awkward pulling them down through the last few inches as there is no good place to hold during that final maneuver if you were trying to pull them tight to a windowsill.

This is the review I was looking for when I was searching. A side by side of these blinds and regular mini blinds to demonstrate the actual room darkening vs standard blinds. On the left, my older mainstay white blinds. On the right these faux wood slat white blinds. This side of my house gets beat down by sun in the summertime. My purpose for upgrading is cutting the heat and light in the afternoons and cutting glare on the TV. These don't darken entirely, light comes through between the slats a bit, which is fine by me, but they definitely cut the glare and afternoon light. (It's winter so I'm not sure about heat yet) Installation was a bit more challenging than expected based on some reviews but mostly because you need to get the anchors right. If you are new to drilling and anchors, you could struggle some. Once I managed that part, the actual hanging of the blinds was simple. I had a 2nd person to hold the blinds up while I was marking and installing. I highly recommend that. If you are hanging the blinds on the inside, you must use the spacers. I had to go online and look for a video to see how they worked because there is no picture in the installation sheet. A simple diagram would've saved me some time but videos are available. They are super simple and go between the sill and the bracket. The quality is really great. They are heavier than I expected and I definitely see why anchors are necessary. Overall very happy with these. If you want total darkness, maybe slats aren't for you. But these definitely cut down the light and glare and you can still open them to different degrees when you want to. Hope this was helpful! Now, off to do the 2nd window!
