This is so much better than the cone of shame. My Great Pyrenees is 2 and it was time for neutering... He did not tolerate the cone at all and did not sleep the 1st night. I jumped on Amazon and read a ton of reviews for different alternatives; found this, had mostly good reviews and bought it. My big baby was still scared of it even after I modeled it for him; put it on his "sister" who gave me the side eye but he finally let me put it on him. He slept all night. Absolute lifesaver for post-surgery recovery! Our golden retriever usually panics with traditional cones, but this inflatable collar’s transparent shield kept his vision unobstructed while the cushioned neck support let him sleep peacefully. The adjustable air volume allowed a perfect fit – snug enough to prevent scratching stitches, yet gentle on his fur. This donut/cone combo is great for my dog after his neuter surgery. We tried a typical donut, but he could still contort to reach his incision. With this product, the cone portion keeps him from getting at his stitches while also giving him more freedom to eat/drink. He is a 47 lb German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix and the Large fits him nicely. The only design flaw is the air valve opening in the cover is on the underside so if my dog scratches just right he can open the valve and deflate the donut (he's done it twice in 24 hours). I'm going to cover the valve in duct tape to prevent this from happening in the future.

I bought this for my fur baby who had just been neutered, and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. I wanted something soft and comfortable for his recovery, and this was perfect. It’s like a plush memory foam neck pillow—honestly more comfortable than the ones you get for airplanes! My pup was able to sleep peacefully and didn’t seem bothered by it at all, unlike those stiff plastic cones. I’d give it 20 stars if I could! Highly recommend to any pet parent looking for a gentle, cozy alternative to the traditional cone. Best buy ever!

My dog loved this after his surgery. The pillow made it comfy and the cone part was removable so he was able to sleep and eat with protection with the pillow. My other dog was unable to use since he had a longer nose, the pillow and cone were too shallow for him.

I bought this collar to help with post-surgery recovery, but it turned out to be nearly useless. The inflatable part deflates quickly and becomes loose, offering little to no protection against licking. The so-called anti-licking shield doesn’t effectively cover key areas and is basically pointless. My dog is average-sized but was clearly uncomfortable wearing it and kept trying to take it off. The overall build quality is mediocre—the Velcro lost its grip after just a few uses. This was a disappointing purchase and I wouldn’t recommend it.

It looked more comfortable in the pictures than on my dog. It worked for what we needed but the part that closes the cone isn’t tight enough and always made its way to the front where my dog put his head. We kept having to rotate it so he was on the cushion part. Overall it did the job, but maybe there’s a better way to close the cone and to keep it on the back side

My dog loves this cone. He looked super sad and lethargic in the hard cone from the vet, but after I switched to this one, he was running around like normal. I don't think he minds wearing it, it's like a neck pillow to him. Also like the option of removing the surrounding hard shell after he got a bit better.
