    • 03/24 update - My opener = Genie 2028: Works as good as OEM Genie single button but.........

Update NOTE: if you purchase the two pack remote, you cannot program both remotes to the same garage door opener. One remote will kick out the other remote when you program the second one.. doesn't happen immediately but it does happen consistently(And yes I changed the batteries) You will have to reprogram the buttons each time. Obviously if you use your garage door as a main entry point to your house this can create a problem if you did not bring your house keys on any particular day when the remote button decides to stop working. My OEM GENIE Buttons have never lost connection.. even after changing the battery. If I could return them now and just pay a little more for the OEM Genie remote, I WOULD... . But I'm passed the return window --------------------------------------------------------------——— Pros: Works as expected. Literally took less than 10 seconds to pair to the garage door opener On the first try for each of the two. I like the fact that it comes with a visor clip and a keychain as well. Cons: does not have the range that the OEM Genie button has; with my OEM Genie button I can usually open the garage door about three or four houses down. This one I'm usually in my driveway or maybe on occasion one house down.( not a deal breaker by any means) Both buttons shipped with no battery Protector loose in a ziplock style bag which means the battery will probably not last as long. Because it was already installed. (hate that, does it really cost that much to slip a little piece of plastic between the battery and the contact for storage?)
