  • Sizeable, 35 000 BTU, this is the Stove for Scout Troops, similar groups. Good with Lodge cast iron
Style: Aluminum Alloy
If you are a Scoutmaster and looking for a Camp stove capable of cooking not only for a Den, but the entire Pack,.or Troop, consider this...Solidly built. Over 20lb.. Auto ignition. Some info: This Bestfire Propane Stove, with its 35,000 BTU burners, delivers high heat output, surpassing the standard 7,000-9,000 BTU home gas burner and the typical electric coil burner (which ranges from 5,000-8,500 BTU equivalent). It’s well-suited for rapid boiling, stir-frying, searing, or cooking for groups - ideal for outdoor kitchens, RVs, emergency backup, basecamp, and Scout camping setups. Tips for Outdoor Cooking with High-BTU Stoves: • Use thicker-bottomed pans to avoid scorching. • Bring a heat diffuser or trivet for simmering. • Shield the stove from wind to maintain stable flames. • Monitor food closely - things cook faster than indoors. • Bring extra propane tank if you're planning multiple meals or cooking for large groups - high BTU means faster consumption. Lodge cast iron cookware (skillets, grill pans, griddles, Dutch ovens, etc.) work well with this stove When using Stainless, full tri-ply strongly recommended. Cheaper stainless with compression bonded bottoms and thin sidewalls have tendancy to scorch at the sidewalls with gas burners. For a small family camping, you could consider this more than you need. A smaller Coleman-like stove eith the smaller 1lb bottles will be easier to transport and handle. But when it comes to "Scout Troop Size" ' this is tje one 5 stars -. Fairly priced Sizeable and 35 000 BTU powerful, this is the Camp Stove for Scout Troops and similar groups. Works well with Lodge cast iron. ... show more

  • BESTFIRE 35,000 BTU Double Burner: Big Flame, Not So Portable.
Style: Aluminum Alloy
FIRE UP THE OUTDOORS – This 35,000 BTU double burner propane stove cooks like a champ, but portability isn’t its strong suit there. We put the BESTFIRE 35,000 BTU Double Burner Propane Gas Stove through its paces, and there’s no denying it packs serious heat. Yah. With auto ignition, a sturdy alloy steel build, and a CSA-approved regulator and hose, this outdoor propane stove feels like cooking on a full-size kitchen range. Whether tailgating, camping, or setting up an RV kitchen, it cranks out flames that make cast iron sizzle and big pots boil fast hey. But jeez there, let’s be real—“portable” is a stretch. At nearly 30 inches wide and over 20 pounds, this double burner is more of a pack-and-haul unit than something you casually toss into the camping kit. Great for Scout troops, backyard BBQs, or RV setups, but not for lightweight campers. We also noticed some reviewers flagged shipping issues and a propane smell when in use, so quality control and handling may vary. For the right setup, though, this is a beast. Two burners give flexibility, the auto ignition saves hassle, and the sheer BTU output makes breakfast-for-10 an easy win. Just don’t expect backpacking portability—this is a camp chef’s workstation, not a minimalist’s stove there hey. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 STARS) Well heck, this is a powerful propane double burner stove that shines for group cooking, BBQs, and RV life. Y'know it's not the most portable, but if you want real heat and dual-burner convenience outdoors, it gets the job done with style. Four star deal. ... show more

  • Soft pass on this one, just not practical and arrived with some issues, probably during shipping
Style: Tempered Glass
Not quite sure how useful this is marketed as they put it forward as a camping item, but it's big, I mean, quite big. I guess that's a good thing in that it has two burners, but it's not exactly something for backpackers lol. The current price is far less than when we got it so maybe it's a better buy at least. It's quite attractive and burns really hot so it takes some getting used to , the burning hot could be either goo or bad I guess. But our main issues were that the burners dislodged from their position during shipping and we loose, swinging down and hanging when you hold up the unit. We had to reconnect them and the only way to do it was, basically, force - pressing the metal framework to allow the protrusion on the burner to line up and snap back into the gas intake. Beyond that one of the rings around one burner is bent/dented - not a big issue but really the thing should arrive pristine. Another thing rendering it less useful is the hose and connector is designed for a large propane tank, the type you use for your at home gas grill. Who's going to transport that? It's not really designed for the little camping propane cannisters that you use for a typical two burner camp stove. The glass top is attractive and cleans easily, so that's something. For us I guess it will serve a purpose as a backup stovetop if we have power issues or whatever, using it outside on the deck, but otherwise it's pretty impractical. ... show more

  • Great propane stove unit!
Style: Aluminum Alloy
I'm pleased with this camping stove. I hooked it up to my propane tank (20 lb) and tested it out and it works great. However, if you try to use it and the igniters won't start the flame, look under the whole unit. There are two skinny "hoses" that go from the igniter to the burner. On my unit they were both unhooked from the igniter. They just push on like any other hose. I assume they carry the spark from the igniter to the burner. Once I pushed them back on, the burners ignited on the first try. I assume they came off due to jostling around in shipping. Each burner has a large ring and a small center unit. Depending on how you turn the knob, they can both be on high or low, or you can just have the small center ring on for extra low heat. Lots of variability in the heat settings. This will make a nice unit to cook on if the power ever goes out at our house (electric stove). Or it would be great to take camping. ... show more
