The Thinlute beach shade tent came with the tent, stakes, a fly, and instructions. Shade at the beach or modest protection from rain is not to be missed. The material is tough, color a nice light greenish blue, and no odor was detected. At $50 or so, you are not doing wrong with this beach tent. Excellent value for money. Rating : 5 stars! Superb, buy now! 4: Solid, few flaws, good value. 3: Most common. I was surprised how small the tent was packaged, considering it can fit 5 people. When I tested it out, I was able to fit 3 people comfortably with enough space to eat and play games. It's such a vibe having this protection from the sun and sand. I'm not sure how effective it is since I also put sunscreen on outdoors.

This tent is decent for shade. Setting it up and taking it down is not very difficult once you figure it out, I had to read the directions. You have to disconnect the support poles so it can unfold. Then to store it, you make it into a figure 8 and then fold. It comes a with storage bag that made of the same thin material as the tent. The material is rather thin and it is lightweight. The windows do not zip up, they are closed with a little bungee loop thing and there is no front so it is wide open. We have another similar beach tent that the windows zip up and the front can be completely closed which worked out much better when we were at the beach and it rained, this one will not keep you dry as water will get in though the unzipped sides and front. It will however keep you in the shade. Although it is lightweight, it is not very practical for hiking because the package is still rather large, about a 2 and 1/2 foot circle when stored in the to tote bag.

Like another reviewer, I ended up with fiberglass splinters in my hand from touching the poles while setting the tent up and taking it down. I was maneuvering the tent and my hand ran along one of the poles when I felt a sharp stinging sensation and realized what happened. The tent can technically be set up without touching the poles if you are careful, but I cannot imagine trying to avoid touching the poles at a windy beach - I think it would be very difficult. I may try to put duct tape or something over the exposed parts of the poles since the tent itself is nice. The tent pops up easily and provides nice shade. I like that the poles are permanently fixed inside the loops of the tent, so you aren't having the thread the poles through the tent each time you want to set it up. Taking it down took a little more effort than putting it up, mostly because I didn't realize how hard I needed to squeeze the poles together to get the whole thing to twist back up into a figure 8. Once I got that figured out, the tent was easy to get back into its case. The directions are easy to follow and are conveniently sewn into the case so you can't lose them. This tent makes it so much better at the beach! It block more sun than you would think,is much bigger than expected too. Easy to use and store, not the easiest to put back up but that's normal for this type of thing. Great buy!

This speech tent comes in a zip up durable carrying bag where you can store it when you’re done using it. It has a very quick and easy set up design, allowing you to get it fully assembled within a few minutes. It provides a perfect amount of shade as well.

We ordered this tent to bring with us on our beach vacation, and even though we've only opened and used it in the house to try it out (no issues there, super easy to set up), I felt compelled to write this review as soon as possible to echo what other reviewers have said about the CHEAP FIBER poles used for the tent. They ARE CHEAP and THEY WILL RIP INTO YOUR SKIN when handling the poles during assembly and disassembly. If you plan to keep and use this tent please use gloves and DO NOT let your children handle the fiberglass poles. You cannot see the needle like fibers but please trust me they are there. Your children will complain to you of sharp, itchy, stinging, pain in their precious little fingers and hands, during and for days after handling the tent, and you'll now know why. I cannot fully recommend this tent unless you enjoy that pain, or assemble and disassemble with gloves, or plan to toss in a dumpster after your beach trip or leave blowing in the wind after a music festival.
