  • Clipping occurred over LDAC transport
Color: B03+
I purchased this to go from a high quality mp3 player using LDAC to my stereo setup. I kept getting clipping from the setup, it would sound like a clapping of wood together. If I did not use the LDAC, I did not hear any clipping. If I did, it would occur after say 40 minutes and randomly occur every 30 minutes or so. So if you're not using LDAC, you should be fine using this setup It is a great rig for connecting Bluetooth devices and spitting out something compatible for your stereo. I went with a much more expensive product, but I had to go that route to get that. ... show more

  • Day 1 review: Not a PC audio device
Color: B03+
[PROS] This Bluetooth device does work as described The Audio is clear and there seems to be no latency issues under 30 meters using Sony headphones Setup is easy and quick, BT detection is very quick, the LCD screen is bright and easy to read. [CONS] The instructions pamphlet uses micro-sized font, unreadable without a microscope The USB-C input is an unnecessary gimmick considering it's going from standard USB to USB-C. The USB-C input is only for power and has no actual functionality for obtaining audio from a USB-C supported device such as a PC, Android device Summary: A well made device but perhaps overpriced. ... show more

  • The Best Transmitter/ Receiver You’ll Find
Color: B03+
In short this is a great transmitter/ receiver and the best I have tried. Lag is unnoticeable even when using the high definition audio mode. With the on-screen display, pairing is a snap. A more detailed review follows. I purchased this because I live in an apartment and I generally listen to my music and TV with headphones as not to disturb my neighbors. I had another brand”s transmitter / receiver that worked well for years, but I had to get a new one when it had trouble pairing. Specifically, I wanted a device that had a display to select devices with which to pair as I experienced a lot of Bluetooth interference where I lived. This was among the most purchased and best reviewed of those transmitter/ receivers with a display. My item came packaged in card box; Included were the transmitter /receiver, an optical cable, a 1/8” male-male stereo cable, a usb power cable, a wall plug to USB adapter, and the instructions. Set up is fairly straightforward. The TV audio out connects on the audio in side and your stereo (or what ever device you normally send audio to) connects on the audio out side. I should note that while the device supports both optical audio and a more traditional 1/8” stereo cable, you can’t cross these in bypass mode. i.e., if you use the optical cable for input, the optical cable has to be used for output for bypass to work. Pairing devices to the transmitter is a snap. Press the search button and an on screen display will show available devices. Pressing the “ok” button will pair the transmitter with the device. Upon turning on the transmitter mode the device automatically will pair with the last device(s). The transmitter can pair with two devices and I have had no issues doing so. Once set up the device has two modes, transmitter/ bypass, and receiver. In transmitter mode you can both transmit and have music go to your stereo. There are two sound modes, low latency and high fidelity. In the low latency mode, lag is minimized sacrificing some sound quality. In the high definition mode, audio quality is prioritized at the expense of some lag. The former mode requires headphones that can support low latency. Either way sound quality is fine and the lag isn’t noticeable. I’ll rate this for five stars, for the quality of the sound and low latency and display for Bluetooth pairing. So if you are looking for a transmitter/ receiver, I recommend this one. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
Good product & directions clear.

  • Optical connection
Color: B03+
This transmitter worked as advertised. However, one important caution. Never attempt to remove the optical plug from the device once in place If you do remove it, most likely you will damage the small door in the receptacle which covers the plugin and the device will be useless. If you need to remove the device unplug it from the television not the device. Please don't ask how many devices I have damaged until I learned this!! ... show more

  • Easy to install and setup
The amp in my garage is, how do I put it... old. Not vacuum tube old, but behind the times when it comes to things like BT. No such thing on it. I have been plugging in an old iPod into the CD input and was looking at buying a more modern amp to put in there so I could stream BT into it from my iPad, phone, etc. After checking prices and reviews I thought "why??" when I could just put in a BT device on and be done with it. The price was not bad, the reviews pretty good, so I thought I would give this a try. I can tell you, it is incredibly easy to setup. It comes with cables you are most likely to need, and I plugged it into the CD audio in. My phone saw the BT and connected without pause. In moments I was streaming music to my older amp and the Bose speakers attached to it. I had to crank up the volume compared to the direct connected iPod route, so there is that. It also seems to have less bass than when direct connected but I believe that is more a BT thing than this particular device. For the price and ease to setup, this is pretty good so far. I have only tested RX mode, and not TX mode as I have no real need to transmit BT to anything, but I guess I can hunt for a need and see how that works. ... show more

  • Sometimes, wanting a product review the day after it arrives is too soon
It's too early to know what I think of the product. I based its purchase on one magazine review and the encouragement of a friend who is a lot more tech savy than I am. The parts delivery was several days earlier than I was expecting and perfect in every way so no complaints whatsoever there. The product has to work along with a set of Sony Wireless, Noise Cancelling, Stereo Headphones. So far I have not reached the reputed full potential of the two of them. I'm pretty sure the problem lies with me. I am 77 years old and have Parkinson's Disease. It may be that the knowledge I have is going down while the knowledge I need is going up. Better operating directions from Sony would sure help, but internet posters are largely taking up the slack. This may take a while. ... show more
