These work great. Our gate would constantly slam closed with the wind. We were using a rock, but that didn't work in the strong wind. Put this in and it works great. We did take a 4" piece of pipe and hammer it into the grand and that way it goes into that pipe and keeps it sturdy. I've bought 2 more for other gates we have.
