  • Great value and reliable results when used correctly!
The media could not be loaded. We successfully hatched 15 chicks with a very high hatch rate using this incubator. It’s an excellent choice for home or educational use. Here are a few tips based on our experience that helped us get great results: Preheat the incubator before use Before each hatching cycle, make sure the eggs are clean and uncontaminated. Clean the tray, water reservoir, and internal parts of the incubator to prevent any contamination that could affect the hatch. Let eggs rest before incubation Allow the eggs to rest with the pointed end facing down for 6–12 hours. This helps the embryo float to the correct position on top of the yolk and prepares it for proper development. Then run the incubator for at least 1–2 hours before placing the eggs to stabilize the internal temperature and humidity. Control temperature and humidity by stages Days 1–18: Keep humidity at 45–55%. Days 19–21 (hatching period): Increase humidity to 65–75% to help chicks break out of their shells. Maintain a steady incubation temperature of around 99.5°F (37.5°C). Avoid temperatures above 102°F (38.9°C) or below 97°F (36.1°C), especially during the first week, as it may lead to developmental issues or failed hatches. Try to keep the temperature stable and avoid opening the lid frequently to prevent fluctuations. Set automatic egg turning It’s best to set the turning interval to 60 or 120 minutes. Avoid longer intervals (like 180 minutes), as this may cause embryos to stick to the shell membrane. Check egg development with a candler Use a candler to check development around days 7 and 14. Remove any unfertilized or non-developing eggs to reduce the risk of contamination. Simulate natural cooling (days 15–17) Starting on day 15, you can open the lid once a day to let the eggs "cool," simulating when a hen leaves the nest. This promotes embryo development and results in more energetic chicks. Cool for 3–5 minutes if the ambient temperature is low, or up to 10 minutes at ... show more

  • Good entry-level incubator!
The media could not be loaded. Overall this is a good incubator. I used this for coturnix quail. I have used others like this in the past and the temperatures always need to be checked with a calibrated thermometer, even on more expensive units. This one was surprisingly close and only off by 0.2 degrees. If it wasn't a digital readout you would probably never know and the hatch rate would likely be just fine. The humidity system is pretty simplistic, this was both good but also where I struggled a little. I am in a high humidity area and if I filled the small reservoir I was over recommended humidity for the first phase of incubation. I remedied this by placing some marbles in the channel beneath the eggs, this reduced the surface area of the water and brough humidity down into an acceptable range. During lockdown, the second phase of incubation, I added water to the second reservoir and it hit spot-on. Although it isn't "pro" level, I ended up with a 70+% hatch rate. Cleanup and reassembly after the hatch was a breeze. I would have no reservations recommending this to a beginner. ... show more

  • Super cute!
This is a cute little desktop incubator that is great for getting started in hatching your own chickens or quail. It's small but holds several eggs, perfect for a small beginning breeder or a classroom wanting to see how birds hatch. It was very easy to get set up straight out of the box, and held both temperature and humidity well. I love how hands off it is, which makes it great for busy or easily sidetracked people. Very happy! ... show more

  • Does not work
It runs for a while then freezes up so the humidity drops and the tray dies not rotate. It ruined my guinea eggs.

  • Excellent incubator – sturdy and high hatch rate!
This incubator is well built and feels sturdy. The materials are of good quality — it's not made from thin or flimsy plastic, which gives a better overall impression. Everything fits together well, and it feels reliable in use. I used it to hatch 30 quail eggs, and 28 hatched successfully, which I was quite happy with. The automatic egg turning worked consistently, and the humidity stayed stable throughout the process. The built-in egg candler was also useful for checking the eggs during incubation. Cleaning is straightforward. The parts are easy to take apart and rinse, and the design doesn’t have too many small areas where dirt can collect. The clear 360° lid is practical — it lets you keep an eye on the eggs without needing to open the incubator and disturb the environment. Overall, it’s a good choice for home or small-scale use. Simple to operate, easy to clean, and it works as expected. ... show more

  • Nice incubator for the money!
This is a nice little incubator for the price. It auto turns eggs, keeps the humidify consistent with the two reservoirs. It's not loud Pros: Easy to set up Humidity control is wonderful Solid heat levels Candling feature Cons: None at this time.
