I tried a lower amperage charger but it never made it to the float stage. This one did and actually shut off when it is supposed to. Its small and compact, quiet, and did the job. This one is working great for my older 36v Cub Cadet. Batteries are about 1 year old. Can take longer to recharge but the cart is not often used.

Works well and easy to use. Charges from 30% up to about 90% in a few hours. The fan is quiet but a little weak. The extended cord is the dc output. That reduces the current at the output plug. Since it's water resistant it would be better if the ac input cord was the long cord. Oh well, can't have everything. Looks like it will last a long time.

This charger is great! It is so much smaller than the old style golf cart chargers. It is about the size of a brick. It has an indicator light to let you know the status of the charge and it will stop charging when it is done.
