After reviewing several 36V chargers and comparing charge rates and other options such as user interfaces , trickle charge feature and cord length , this is the best bang for your buck. Simple in operation with 2 LED's indicating charging status. Quiet fan cooling while charging at high rate and shuts off when trickle charge starts. Manufacturer contacted me via email after the sale and inquired if I was happy with the purchase and reviewed simple operating instructions for the product . Other reviews indicate a problem with the charger not starting after being connected to the cart. The operating instructions clearly state after a full charge cycle is complete that the charger needs to be reset by unplugging the AC power supply for a short period of time, 10 seconds. I only have one cart so this is not an issue for me as I simply remove the plug from the back of the charger when done until next week. If your charging a fleet of carts you will have to reset between charges by unplugging and resetting

I didn't get around to trying this charger for quite a while after I first got it--more than 30 days after I had received it. Unfortunately, that unit didn't work. I contacted AMZN and the rep, without any quibbling about timing, assured me that they would see that it was made right. They put me in contact with the mfr. customer service who apologized for any inconvenience and stated that they would send me a new one. It arrived two days later and worked perfectly. The entire process took less than 30 minutes and they did not even ask me to return the defective unit.

The charger does what any other charger does however, the way you get it to charge is sometimes questionable. For the price it's excellent. I like my other one better because I knew how to use it, I plug it in and it worked. this one not so much. You sometimes have to unplug the machine from the wall and let the charger 'reset' in order to get it to charge. I don't know internal workings of it, but you just can't plug your golf cart into it and expect it to charge. that said, sometimes it will. it's quirky like that. Again, for the price its awesome after about 3 months still working fine.
