I needed this for an old Dell Optiplex to increase capacity from 4GB to 8GB. The specs matched what was already installed. I replaced all the ram. It's SK Hynix chips. I tested 3+ passes with memtest. No errors. See attached screenshot. I'm very happy with these, and will buy them again if I need more. UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: These completed over 5 passes of memtest with no errors and I wrote my positive review. Later I noticed that the system now failed to POST most of the time when cold booting (Rebooting always worked). When this happened, nothing would show on screen and the PC would freeze while showing a diagnostic LED pattern (Screenshot of that code explained in the service manual is attached to this review). Re-seating didn't help. Since there aren't many alternatives in the 1333MHz 2x4GB flavor I decided to to give this brand a second try. The replacement set works great. No more boot issues. Memtest86 completed several passes. I'm removing a star for poor QC. I've learned from experience that it's always necessary to test new RAM. Since this set was defective I wasted more time trying to troubleshoot than I should have. The system I used this in is a Dell Optiplex 990 USFF (i5-2490). The CPU supports 1066/1333MHz ram (9-9-9-24), but will clock down faster RAM if all you can find is 1600Mhz 11CL. The CPU also supports up to 32GB, except the manual says this particular PC and form factor can only support 8GB total (2x4GB). I tried a 16GB 1600MHz kit and things looked good at first, but it would crash after 2 successful passes of memtest. If you have this exact PC, you're probably better off sticking with these RoyeMai/D DUOMEIQI. However if your system can handle more, Teamgroup has a 2x8GB/16GB 1600MHz kit at a lower price.

Well, I'm tech savvy but I'm not a hardware expert. These modules were easy to install and running memory tests gave a 100% on all of them. They work and made my not-so-modern computers a little bit faster, although these old DDR2 are getting WAY TOO expensive, if you ask me. Anyway, would buy again but I hope I don't have to anymore.

These new RAM cards gave faster boot speed to a 16 year old Asus Notebook with HDD. The upgrade was from 6GB to 8GB. Noticeable improvement in general performance as well.

Owned an iMac for over 12 years and ran it for that long with just 4GB of memory. Searched online for help in deciding to buy new or upgrade the memory. YouTube videos demonstrated just how easy it was to replace the existing memory with new chips. Ordered these and installed in about 15 minutes, computer started right back up, recognized the memory increase and runs so much better. Would recommend these chips.
