After 10 years of never having the right light, I've finally found it! This one is everything I hoped for: 1600K true amber for eye ease and Circadian rhythm alignment, sleek styling, cordless, on/off and stepless dimming with a simple touch control, and a magnetic stick-on base. I had already installed a pair of "3-temperature" puck lights on the underside of the cupboards over my kitchen sink. Those are great during the day, but since their warmest mode is 3000K they're not suitable for evening (when I want to signal my body to begin winding down). Adding this amber bar light in the center between those puck lights is the perfect solution--I'm so glad this product exists! Installation took me under a minute: peel, press, and play. This little gift of the genie comes with some nice extras: a spare magnetic base and 3 additional adhesive pads as well as a charging cable and clear instructions printed in type large enough to read without a magnifying glass. The second base could be mounted in another location, and the bar could be easily removed from its base and carried around as a flashlight. The light has a high-capacity battery, so it charges quickly. The light it gives off is really pleasant: plenty of illumination but no glare even if your eyes are sensitive. ... show more

I paid a little over $19 for this light and it's surprisingly good. It's larger than I expected at around a foot long. It's much brighter than I expected at 5w. It also dims fairly well, which is important for a night light. It also feels sturdy, has a decent heft it it, and the dimming function works in well adjusted stops, and the diffuser is very good for the price point. This particular form factor plus the magnetic mounts it comes with is very well thought out and I find it extremely useful already. For the price I think it's a no brainer. My only complaint is that it doesn't quite get dim enough. Night lights should get extremely dim, but I've yet to find an amber light that gets as dim as I'd like. But overall I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, form factor, and function of this light. ... show more

I was just looking for a wall-mountable amber light for reading in bed at night. But this being rechargeable and magnetically mounted makes it much more. If I want to get up and make a midnight snack, I can just grab this light off the wall and head to the kitchen, using it to light my way. Maybe I'll affix the second mount above my stove in case I want to do some midnight cooking, haven't decided yet. I might take this with me when I go car-camping too. The mount allows the angle to be adjusted without any annoying/fragile hinge, you just reposition it on its magnetic track (hard to explain but hopefully you can understand by looking at the pictures). This is one of those few products where I have to stop and admire the thought the designer put into it. I'll probably grab a second one just to have a spare, it's a steal for the price. ... show more

I'm using it as the last light that stays on before bed (not for reading). Works great - strong yet cozy light, powerful magnet that sticks to a couple of metallic objects I already have in my bedroom - so I didn't need the sticker part so far. Long battery life - still going on the first charge after a month of daily use for at least 15min a day. The on/off touch is also pretty cool and useful in the dark. ... show more
