The seal fits fine. Both ends of the door groove were pinched with obstructions. Sliding in either end would have been easier, however I used a screwdriver to pinch the "bulb" into the track the length of the door. A little tedious, but got the job done. Fits and seals fine.

Very good quality overall. The rubber is not as thick as the product pictures would have you think but is thick enough for the money and thick enough to do the job of keeping the water out. Be sure to check the bottom of your garage door before you order to make sure this is the right type. There is more than one kind! Install is a pain, but it always is for these, and that's more because of how far you have to push it down the channel than a problem with the product. Some soapy water helps with that a lot. Some people say to use like WD40 but I don't think that is good for the rubber. Probably could use some silicon lube spray and be ok since it dries. WD40 would just attract dirt in there. It's working better than the failing on I had in there that was missing about a foot off each end! ... show more

I installed this on my early 90's overhead door brand garage door and it did fit the channel ok. I cleaned the channel, then used a spray bottle of soapy water to keep the channel lubricated while pulling the weather seal through it. The original seal pushed out in front of the door and allowed the door close a little further, while this new seal hangs directly down from the bottom of the door. This resulted in my door not going down quite as far, but the seal seems to be doing its job, it is just a different appearance when viewed from outside. If your p-bulb style seal is in bad shape, this one makes for a good and inexpensive replacement. ... show more

The material is heavy duty and definitely made to last. Cleaning the old channel probably took the most time out of doing the job. Once everything was cleaned up and had a little WD-40, this one went on pretty quick. The seal looks great and I can no longer see light from outside when the garage door is closed! ... show more

Needed to replace the hold garage door seal that is original to the door. This replacement looks shiny and new. Seems to work perfectly! The hardest part of the install was cleaning where the old seal was. A little bit of WD40 and wiped it down with some water and this new seal went easily on! Looks great!
