I have a P-channel seal on my garage door. I bought this so I could replace it. It did arrive coiled up so the seal was flat instead of round, however, I didn't think that would be an issue. I figured it would get it's shape back once warmed up. Unfortunately, I did havr to return this because the P bead was too small for my reseal retainer. But thar is because I have a very old garage door and I'm not even sure they make the size I need anymore. I had to reach out to a garage door company to see if they could order what I need. But even though I had to return this, I thought that it was good quality and if my garage door retainer wasn't such an odd size, this would have been perfect for me.

I soaked it in hot water for 30 minutes to soften up. Instal was fine but two person job. Once installed, I taped it to the garage and kept the garage door closed for two days trying to make it sit right. I take the tape off and it is still flat and points straight to the ground. So my garage door won’t close.

Fit perfectly, however since it is shipped wound up in a tight spiral, the seal remains flattened vertically and has not rounded into shape. The door does not close as far as it should. Temps are around 50 F outside maybe in a hotter climate it might squish into a circular shape.

Where everything seems overpriced these days I was very happy to find the exact piece that I needed and for it to be cheap. Came in a nice tightly round roll and easily slipped onto the bottom of my garage door with some help of grease to slid in. Happy to have found exactly what I needed with my type of garage door. Was easy to cut with kitchen scissors to my exact length.

This product was fairly easy to install on a two car garage door. It did take 2 people though- one to feed in into the groove and another to pull along the door. There were a few times it would get stuck and would require a little back and forth, but was eventually able to get it all through. Downside is it is very very stiff and I worry about durability with sun exposure. It would not open/flatten when door was lowered so we were unable to lock the door. After a couple of months, it loosened a little and was able to lower more with a small circle opening, but still not all the way so there is still some gaps between floor/door and we are still not able to lock down. We are hoping the snow melt will not enter the garage now since it hasn't flexed enough to close properly. Not sure how long it will take for product to become flexible enough to allow the door to fully close, but this is important to know if you are going to buy.
