Ordered this bare bones unit to replace my last inverter which was flood damaged. This is their less expensive, "Modified Sine Wave" unit which means that its not appropriate for inductive or variable speed motors/tools and some electronics. It works fine with things that use USB or USB-C cables. It also seems to work fine with things that run off modern black box power adapters that plug into the wall. Battery chargers for my variable speed, cordless tools worked fine as did my LED Vizio TV. You could theoretically run a 1000W heater or blow dryer off this but this would draw over 80 amps from your 12 volt battery draining it quickly and shutting off the inverter due to its low voltage protection feature. It seems like a decent unit for camping or dealing with power outages. This company also sells "Pure Sine Wave" inverters with remote control panels which will properly run more types of items like a variable speed drill or a box fan with an inductive motor. The high wattage limits still apply. Their 1500W unit costs only $40 more and is definitely what I would buy for a camper.

It;s not pure sin, so can be a challenge for some devices, but we got for our camper to run the microwave occasionally and it works just fine for that. I was hoping I could use it for my truck to power my miter saw, but it trips out under that load (3amps) which surprised me. The device is quiet and seems sturdy, wish the included cables were longer (only about a foot). All in it's definitely a budget item, and you get what you pay for. I would not recommend it.

I mounted this inverter in one of our side-by-side UTV's on my ranch. It's compact size made mounting it in an out of the way location that did not impede accessibility easy. It works well to power drill motors and skill saws, plus other common small AC powered hand tools that I use most often. The build quality and functionality of this DC to AC inverter are great, the modified sine wave output works very well in this application.
