I live in the DC metropolitan area and I feel like each year, we’re getting closer and closer to tropical type weather for the summers. It has been unbearable lately so this year, I have been investing in dehumidifiers. I have one and each floor of my home now. It makes such a huge difference. Everyday, I dump out two tanks of this dehumidifier a day while setting the humidity level at 40. Without it, the house would be around 70 - which would promote mold growth. Just dumping out the water makes me know that this works. Other effects is the feeling of pressure between the outside and inside. You can go from breathing harder outside and then come inside and it is easier to breathe. Another effect is that my cat drinks more water because the indoor climate is more dry than before. I can see some people saying that the tank is too small. It does come with a hose, but if you’re like me, I like a more minimal aesthetic. I like a smaller footprint and a quiet operating machine. This one does both and I am quite happy. It’s also satisfying to empty the tank sometimes. What I realized after a while is that the humid air outside always moves inside and the heat coming through the windows constantly lends to more humidity. Nature always tries to achieve equilibrium. So as long as more humidity is outside, you’ll keep getting water vapors moving inside. Thats why having a dehumidifier is so crucial especially during the unbearable summer months. It’s easy to empty the tank. Just pull it out and tilt it towards the sink. My wife actually uses the water to water her indoor plants so it’s quite beneficial for both of us. Just make sure the tank is clean before using the water for plants. There are wheels on the bottom so it’s easy to move. For the price, it does the job and it creates a more habitable living space while the preventing mold. With all that, this is quite valuable.

So it does its job very well, so far. I will admit that I am shocked at how much water it has collected on its first day of use. I purchased this because we live in Texas and it was recommended on my recent inspection since I had someone come in to assess for mold (my family has been non stop sick). Our humidity in our new construction home is very high and overall I'm happy with the efficiency of this product. My one complaint is how small that tank for collection is. I could have read more about the item I guess but I had no idea that I'd have to be emptying this so many times in a day. It does have an automatic shut off if the water level is too high and we can put the drainage hose into a large bucket but that water will evaporate back into the space. I really wish I had known how small the tank was. Other than that the item is really to move around and I am happy with it. I would give it 4.5 stars if possible.

I purchased this to keep my tool room at a consistent humidity level due to the high precision tools I own. I've bought several different brands of dehumidifiers over the years, ranging from $100 to several hundred dollars. This one from Trazico is one of the best ones I've purchased. I can easily recognize quality, or lack thereof. Trazico has taken the time to built a high-quality product. The build quality seems second to none, from the easy rolling castor wheels to the quiet yet extremely effective compressor. If you look at the electrical ratings, it's one of the most efficient models for its size. It's also one of the quietest that we've used. It is so quiet in fact, that I can barely hear it running. A small hum is all that can be heard when it is working. I like the compact size that allows it to stay unnoticed in the corner of the room, and that the fan blows straight up and not to the side. The tank is easy to empty, or it can be permanently drained via the included drain hose. I recommend the latter since the tank is small and doesn't hold more than a couple of glasses worth of water. Controls are intuitive and easy to use, and the screen won't easily scratch. There's a reason that most reviews are excellent for this dehumidifier.

I have changed my rating from a 5 to a1. Out of the box the unit looked like a 5 and with the added warranty which would go for 3 years all looked great. However after a little less than a year after purchasing the unit quit working. I contacted the manufacture for a replacement but received no communication after supplying their requests for information. I would strongly suggest that you not buy from this manufacturer. Amazon should have a process to remove manufacturer that do not support their product. Unfortunately I see multiple reviews from similar companies that do not live up to their promise. If you are looking for a compact dehumidifier this one might be for you This review is written after two weeks of operating. The unit was well packed and arrived without any damage. The literature was provided in a formal looking presentation that was easy to read. It came with an extended warranty to three years when you register. This length of time is top class in the dehumidifier field to my knowledge. I normally hook up to a drain and use the continuous mode bypassing the bucket. I did use the bucket for the first week to be able to observe its operation. Since I added this dehumidifier to a basement area that had a unit in operation, I cannot give a good review of the adequacy of the bucket. My first unit was able to lower the humidity level to 60% which was not as low as I desired. With the adding of this unit the humidity was lowered to 50% which met my need. Even in this arrangement I was required to empty the bucket up to three times a day to keep it operating. Using the continuous drain it the most convenient method as this compact unit does have very good water generation. The controls were easy to use and responded quickly. Customer service promises quick response to any issue. Wonderful but hope o have no need to test.

Very good performance, a lot of functions, automatic, and it comes with a straight hose to the drain if you have that option, or you can drain the container whenever you need. I will shut off when full, or it has 3 settings for whenever it reaches the desired humidity. I did not have to read the manual, but it is very intuitive. It displays the current humidity, and it is accurate with my meter, and you can set it to what you want. It will keep working till it reaches set or you can have it on all the time, the fan has different speeds, and is very quiet. It does what it is for, nice design and it has a green LED light to indicate when is on. It has wheels that make it easy to move around. I have been using it during the day and night. I don't have to worry about turning it off. I use a tub to be able to put more water in it and then just dispose of it without having to empty the container too often. Depending on the speed and your local humidity, it can get filled up very quickly. It does the job for me, I like it.

Not enough mojo for my <1500 square foot basement. Machinery functioned. Water drained into hose/ reservoir. But even with high fan and continuous operation humidity never got below 60%. UPDATE: Manufacturer Trazico saw this review and quickly contacted me, offering a free, upgraded replacement. Unit I bought was 21 pints. Unit they sent was 52 pints. New unit works well. Very good customer service. I am leaving up the original review for transparency but also acknowledging their satisfactory efforts to make me happy.
