Compact, quiet dehumidifier that’s easy to set up and run. DEHU and DRY modes work as advertised, auto-defrost and restart are useful, and the touchscreen makes setting targets simple. It pulls moisture steadily and is bedroom-quiet. The 1.5 L tank is small, so the included drain hose is the better choice for continuous use.     • Small but quiet and mighty dehumidifier.
Easy to set up and easy to empty the water tank once it fills up. It tells how much humidity is in the air and lets one set it to the correct amount. When the tank is full, it shuts off automatically. My husband likes it because it runs very quietly. He used to unplug/turn off the dehumidifier it replaced so that he could hear the TV. With this one, it runs silently in the background. It came with a drainage hose which we haven't used as we just dump the tank. The only thing is that the item is MUCH smaller than we thought-- the tank holds very little water, but there is no drain nearby so we will need to purchase another one. ... show more

    • Does an excellent job
This works very well in our small home. The only problem is that it overflows so it has to sit in a tray. If you can set it up to drain using the included hose it would be better. This isn't an option for where we need it. - BUT it is very quiet and does an excellent job.

    • Doesn't last.
**update**. They did allot of troubleshooting. It had a hidden mode that gives all the stats on how it's working. They honored the warranty and replaced it. Thank you. It started off so good! For about 6 months it worked perfectly. lots of water coming out. Then problems started happening. And before anyone judges.. it's perfectly clean. My house is very clean, no dust on the filter, hose is clean and not obstructed. A few issues developed 1) the water occasionally goes into the tank instead of the hose. I can't figure out why.. the hose also has water draining from it. 2) The amount of water it's pulling seems reduced. Customer service helped me look at the temperature of the coil and room and said it's still ok. 3) I also let customer service know that it doesn't have locking wheels, but it needs to.. the compressor after 6 months of use starts jerking the entire until and pulls the hose out of the drain. the 'hard starts/stops' of the compressor have gotten bad. Pluscent said to wait and did not replace it. 4).. Now the latest issue has made it totally useless.. it runs for a bit and then shuts off.. beeps loudly and says "FE" on the display. I followed all instructions to reset.. checked the filter and drain etc. all good. but it doesn't work now. This is a great little dehumidifier but it doesn't last. Happy to report back if they do anything for me.. I sent another email (4th so far) to Customer Service today. ... show more

    • Works great in an apartment
Lowered the humidity from 80% to 50% in an average-sized living room in an apartment after 36 hours, which makes a huge difference during a hot, humid summer. Very easy to use after we read the instructions. For a large room or open area, I would recommend a more powerful product though.

    • Compact size but still powerful!
I liked that this machine was a compact size for the space I needed it and for a valued price. The hose attachment is nice and helped us keep it on most of the time as we just let the water drain into our bathtub. Easy to change out the water tray if you can not use the hose.

    • Buyer Beware
This will be a long review that I know most will not take the time to read in its entirety, so I am writing this to get things off my chest & finally move on from this terrible experience. When I first purchased this dehumidifier back in late June, I gave the purchase 3 stars & did what I considered to be an honest review of the product - which was that it was much louder than I expected, but more importantly I didn't believe it was really a 1500 sq ft dehumidifer, but more capable of handling a single room. At that point, I was ready to just move on, not in love with this purchase but not hating it either. To my surprise, I was contacted by Pluscent support (which I must say that their support is much better than the actual product they are supporting). They offered to send a larger dehumidifier to see if it would perform more to my expectations. So, I deleted the review to see how the process worked out. Upon receiving the larger dehumidifier, it worked GREAT (for less than 2 months before it died). This is where the wheels kind of fell off & the entire experience went from bad to worse. I had completed the 3 year warranty process, and contacted Support to see what steps to take. Support responded promptly (within a day or so), as has been my experience. They had me do a couple "tests" to send them data, and responded back that the dehumidifier was defective (their words, not mine). Ok, these things can happen, I wasn't upset yet.... At this point, they proceed to tell me that unfortunately they are out of inventory and cannot send a replacement, so the only option is to issue a refund (of the smaller dehumidifier price, rather than the larger dehumidifier price that was defective & I received to address my previous issues). I guess that's fine (I mean why would I want a replacement that could also be defective, right?), but I questioned their "out of inventory" comment because, as I look on Amazon, to this very day, it continues to be advertised for immediate delivery. So, either they are incorrect about it being out of inventory or they are misleading future purchasers of their products as to when they may eventually receive their purchase. Either way, a refund was processed fairly quickly, but partially as an actual refund and partially as an Amazon credit - which I thought was odd. At this point, I am ready to just move on from this company. For all I know, this may be a completely isolated occurrence & every other item they sell may perform flawlessly.     • Great! JUST CLEAN IT!
Started to struggle earlier than anticipated (6 months in?) but it’s understandable. It’s in a space with rabbit that sheds. Dehumidifiers need to be opened and cleaned at least once a year. Take a high pressure air hose and blow out as much dust and dander as you can or a strong vacuum. After mine stopped working, I took the panel off and just blew air into it and it’s working great again! The machine is sturdy and quiet. It’s sleek and super easy to use. I have two and live in a basement and just roll them around whenever I feel a space is too moist. Really helps reduce the basement smell. ... show more
