Purchased an AS150T autoshredder in Decmeber 2023 - it worked for abou eight weeks - called company for warranty support and website is no longer in existence and 866 number is no longer in service. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

    • Extremely difficult to unjam a paper jam
purchased this product today (not from Amazon) and had alot of stuff to shred... I do like the micro-cut because the discard bin doesn't fill up nearly as fast as the standard cross cut shredder used to but the machine jammed three times on me in the first 90 minutes and there seems to be no way to easily get to the paper jam area to manually unjam it...I ended up using a screwdriver and a sharp knife that could be used to "pluck" or pry the paper out of the manual feed area... I would stick to a name brand that you have experience with like Fellowes... while that was the brand I had to send to the trash heap eventually (it started smoking and wouldn't stop running), it did last 15 years... and was pretty easy to un-jam and accessible. Additionally, the documentation in the box was so out of date that the website was a joke (looked like it was half completed by an elementary school student) and when I called the toll free number on the user guide, I got an automated message that the "caller had been suspended and to try again later." NOT A GOOD SIGN Save yourself the headache...leave this brand to self destruct and buy a more well known product. ... show more
