Very nice quality and good strong lead, make clear lines for sawing or routing the darker wood like walnut, which is notoriously tricky to see lead pencil marks on. Well worth the cost if you ask me. Love the fact they are chunky and you can advance the lead with gloves on - which is how I prefer to work- and plenty of extra lead for my needs, in fact so much lead I doubt I’ll ever need to buy again! It you're a Carpenter and/or Woodworker... just get these. Pros: Mark well on a variety of materials Less sharpening Built in sharpener All have clothing clips Incredible value Cons It would be nice to have a heavier duty case, but for the price this is minor. I'm a carpenter and woodworker by trade. While I used mechanical pencils in my workshop and for fine work, out in the field I still used the square carpenters pencils. Partially because I would lose them all the time. The first day I used these I decided I'll never go back to the square ones. There are 3 reasons I wanted to ditch the square ones. They are cheap and the leads constantly break. They require constant sharpening if your doing anything but rough in work. I lose them constantly. Seriously I had to have 3-4 pencils handy all the time so I wouldn't have to search for them. These are easy to keep sharp and if you're doing rough in work there isn't a need to. The built in sharpener means at anytime you can shave then to a super fine out. The build quality is solid and they just feel good in my hands. Plus they have a clip to hang on my shirt if in a pocket. No longer searching for my pencil! ... show more
