I was a little surprised at how well I liked the color and feel of this awning fabric. At this price point, I really expected a much inferior product. This product has a decent weight and feel to it, although you can tell from the raw edge that the quality isn't top-of-the-line. Since this replaces an old RV awning that is only used for 2 months out of the year, I figured it's worthwhile to see how long this one will last. My husband watched a bunch of Youtube videos to determine how to install this and promised to cook dinner for the neighbors if they helped him. It took about 3 hours to remove the old awning and install the new cover. The blue and white fabric looks very nice and crisp. I am sure it will also stay cooler than our previous dark colored cover. We will have to update periodically as to the were and tear. Overall, we are very pleased with this so far.

So this was my first time removing and installing an awning. I had to watch a couple videos on YouTube prior to doing it. I would recommend this if you haven't replaced an awning before. It took us about 3 hours and I had 2 helpers. Definitely need at least 1 helper, having 2 made it easier. It came with everything I needed to install, except for a rivet gun which I was able to pick up pretty cheap. The cover itself is well made. It seems a better quality then the one that came with my trailer. It looks good and appears like it will last many years.

As much as I would love to give 5 stars as this is a cost effective awning replacement it arrived with a hole in it that will no doubt leak water all over my porch so I will have to give 3 stars

This was my first DIY attempt at removing an awning from a camper and installing a new one. Our old one was about 4 years old and had some tears and holes and needed replaced. We needed a 15’ replacement awning and this was the exact same size as our old one. This comes with three full lengths of plastic stiffener tubing that you slide into the pleats so that it mounts securely onto the RV and onto the awning armature. It also comes with instructions, however the instructions apply to an older style camper with a manual awning. Our camper has a motorized awning setup so the instructions didn’t really apply. The mounting bracket and hardware on my camper is all made by Lippert. They have a very nice video on YouTube with step by step instructions on removal and assembly of the awning. I watched this video 2-3x and had it figured out how to complete the replacement process. My camper has LED lights that mount to the awning right by the camper connection. The awning I removed had a second pocket for the stiffener tubing to go into. This replacement awning only has one pocket that is about 2” wide so I was able to fit two stiffener tubes down into it and mount the lights on one and mounted the awning to the camper with the other. While sliding the awning onto our camper the lighting tubing came out of the pocket about 2/3 of the way down the awning. Fortunately this kit comes with a plastic “pizza wheel” that I was able to use to push the awning material and stiffener back into channel and secure the light strip into place. Overall, the entire process took about 2 hours and I definitely recommend having at least 3 people for the job. We absolutely love the coloring of our new awning. Our old awning was solid black and very hot. We like that this is white and blue. The only bad part about this awning is the material does not have a finished edge at the end of the awning. You can see in the one picture I posted that there are strings of fabric on the unfinished edge. Would have been better if it had been folded over and stitched. Other than that, this was a perfect replacement awning for us. Good price and decent quality.

We recently moved to the hottest part of our state, and Hubby wanted to put up an awning on the side of the house for a shady place to use in the afternoons. He investigated many options, then saw this awning fabric at a great price and ordered! He feels like he found a real bargain! The quality of this fabric is extraordinary, and exceeded his expectations. Now, as an actual awning replacement for an RV or similar, it would be perfect, obviously. It was also perfect for Hubby's needs, and he easily constructed a frame that worked perfectly. We now have a nice large and shady area on the shadiest part of the house, and we can spend evenings outside much more comfortably. The fabric reflects heat and light, and adds to the coolness. It holds up against winds--and we get some high winds and bluster here, let me tell you. Hubby is delighted with the design and performance of this fabric, and would recommend it without hesitation. If you are replacing an existing awning used with a built-in support, be sure to measure carefully. But this is GREAT!
