This is our second portable AC. We bought another brand about 5 years ago, which we left in the house we just sold. We wanted a way to cool our bedroom at night without cooling the whole house. After doing the research and reading reviews, I bought this one and I'm so glad I did. It is far quieter and more powerful that our previous unit and cools our large bedroom (20 x 15) much faster. We are venting it out a dryer vent cut into the wall, which seems to work well. Would definitely buy again.

I would like to give it 5 stars but.... It's awesome at cooling a room, If i set it at 70 it'll be 70. that said it's kind of confusing to use. not all that user friendly. but enough. the issues i have though are. the Drain Plug requires a quick connect to make it easier to use. Next is the Auto Fan Function.... When the desired Temp is reached and the AC pump turns off but the fan doesn't. it just shifts to a lower speed. Then there's a problem with the Ventilation hose. it's not very flexible making it hard to setup in the window. they should have a way to run it thru the houses air return to eliminate sticking hose out window. Next, the hose connection for putting it out the window isn't very sturdy not staying in the hole it was designed for.

It has hit about 90 degrees where I live and this is keeping my living room very comfortable. Its not real quiet but I will take the noise over the heat. I am very happy with the first week of using it. Ive been keeping it set around 72 degrees so its not running all the time .

We have a large home in Northern California with 12’ ceilings, we move the unit between great room and master bedroom. The unit is very efficient and hopefully will cut our PG&E bill as our central air was costing us over $750 per month last year.

So far is working good, better than our GE. I am just afraid It does not work for long, but so far is cold, the fan runs in between and turn off after reaching the temperature. The filter needs to be clean often, but is easy to clean.

It's quirky ... the first time I used it, I couldn't turn it off. I unlocked it, tried a number of different ways to turn it off and it just wouldn't work. I finally unplugged it. The second time, I set the timer for 12 hours and it turned off in about 10 hours. I'm referring to the manual frequently for the remote. There's no way I'm boxing it up and carrying that heavy thing to return it, and then carrying a different heavy unit up the stairs again, so I guess I'm just accepting it's quirks. It does seem to cool reasonably well and maybe I'll figure it out. The set up was also fairly easy.. the plastic thing was too big for the window and it was very easy to saw it to size.

This is false advertising. I live in a 600 sq foot apt. This does not even cool the living room. NOT an air condition. Even set at 60 it does not cool AT ALL. If I could give 0, I would. I just got ripped for almost $600

We live in Florida and hurricane season is just around the corner. Our generator cannot keep up with our central A/C during power outages so we used to install a window unit. We decided to buy this unit to make things easier and quicker during power outages. The unit arrived on time and it was packaged very well. Coincidentally, three days after it was delivered one of our central A/C units went out. Well, here is our opportunity to try this little thing out for a first time. After unpacking it, we found out that the insulation tape wasn't in the box. It was nowhere to be found. This wasn't something we wanted to deal with at 11pm but we had to be creative in order to insulate the window where the pipe from the A/C was going into. We cut the Styrofoam that was used in the packaging and used it in place of the foam and then taped it over with painters tape. It had to do for the night. The unit is a little louder than expected. Other than that, the moment we plugged it in, it went to work and started cooling off very quickly. The two rooms we used this A/C for were a little over 750sqft, slightly bigger than the recommended for this unit but it took around an hour to bring the temperature down by 6-7 degrees.
