I was first introduced to muslin washcloths via a pricey travel skincare kit. And while I liked the products, I fell completely in love with the included washcloth. Fast forward a bit and I got the chance to order this set of 12 washcloths and I am not disappointed. There are 4 of each color of washcloth in the set (white, light pink, medium pink). They arrive vacuum-packed extremely flat but immediately fluff up into a waffle-y texture upon unpacking. I immediately tossed them into a wash with other towels and washcloths, and they came out even fluffier. They do 'shrink' in the sense that they get smaller due to the waffling, more in one direction than the other, resulting in a slightly rectangular shape when dry. They flatten again when wet. Each cloth is well sewn - these are double layered and all seams are enclosed rather than simply being serged. They do a fantastic job exfoliating skin. There's a small tag loop that can be used to hang the cloths & when hung to dry they do dry very quickly. I did have one cloth arrive with a minor snag. After washing it corrected itself (the weave is loose and while I tried to tug the snag into place, it wasn't cooperating while dry but did resolve itself in my washing machine. Yay!) Price is great and I would order again should the need arise. My only regret is not ordering the shades of blue (I'm really not a pink person, lol!) ... show more

These are soft, and I am happy with them. The only con for them is they are smaller than I expected. I use them on my face to get make-up off and to clean my face as well. I would buy more if needed.

I am surprised to see this is not what people expected as usually I'm the lone wolf questioning products or being a bit disappointed by false claims. But I personally love these. I don't know exactly what constitutes proper muslin favric, but these are 100% cotton and seem very similar in texture, weave and feel to muslin products I have used in the past. Like all fabric, not all muslin is exactly the same but I would say this is muslin weaved cotton. But I'm no expert so.... They are very gentle and I actually prefer these over my flannel washcloths. They clean my skin better while not causing irritation. They are smaller (10 by 10" as listed) but I don't need a large cloth, especially for my face and the size is perfect for me. These dry so quickly after wringing them out and I like that as there is less chance for bacteria growth. Usually washcloths can start to naturally get a mildew scent but I haven't had any issues with these. My husband also finds this cleans grease off of his face (he is a heavy equipment mechanic) easier and more efficiently than flannel. These seem to pick up the dirt better. If you are reading this, your main question might be why one would use a muslin cloth over a regular washcloth. The answer is simpler than you'd think: regular washcloths are great for other areas of your body but can be too rough for the delicate skin on your face. There are options out there, one of which is muslin cloth. I'll touch briefly on other options later, but for now, let's focus on the product in question. These come twelve to a pack and at the current price of ten dollars, this makes individual cost here less than a dollar. These are relatively cheap for the manufacturer to make and although they may feel delicate, they are more durable than one would expect. These are surprisingly absorbent and can be used in a variety of ways. You can use them to cleanse your face, of course, but you can also use them as a homemade face mask: just apply the mixture of your choosing and let it rest on your face. These can also be used for baby stuff if that's what you're looking for. The listing says that these could be machine washed, but I would make sure to put them in a delicates bag or something similar to help keep other items from snagging on them. I'd also recommend letting them air dry as opposed to using a dryer. They'd probably be fine, but part of the allure of these cloths is the ability to reuse them over and over again. Now, you're probably wondering about those other options I've mentioned. Well, one of them is to just use your hands to wash your face, another would be microfiber towels. Those are valid options, but I will say that these would probably be the best choice for infants or for things like homemade face masks. These are of course good for facial cleansing, but whether or not it's the best would be highly dependent on your own skin and preferences. These are pretty small and thin cloths. They do not look like a traditional washcloth for use on your face. I ended up keeping these to use as cleaning rags, which I think is a better use for them. I would not buy this again, it does not look like the product pictured in the listing.

I have never ordered clothes like this before. I told my mom that they remind me of the material used to make washable diapers we used before disposable pampers came on the scene of motherhood. It makes sense that we like the softness of the fabric. It is so nice and soft on your face. I got half white and half pink clothes. I have not used them in the laundry yet to see how well they come clean. I will come back with a more complete review...I have to know if they hold or release makeup stains and whether I use bleach or not. #ClassIsDismissed. ... show more
