I bought this portable a/c for my daughter’s rental because it had nothing for cooling purposes and would get really hot during the summer months. This turned out to be an awesome purchase! She had bought herself a different albeit “cheaper” option, but it did NOT cool down her place at all! When we got this a/c unit in there and turned it on, it cooled the place down so fast! The power of it is amazing! The fact that you can move it around is awesome. It isn’t distracting with the noise level. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It cost a little more, but worth the price. My daughter was so happy with it, she went and bought one for her bedroom.

Had it for a year now. Works great! Let's hope it survives another summer. It's not made of cheap material. Keeps my house cool, fan blows great. Can easily move/roll it around. Aside from the fact that it's massive.. I have no complaints : ) The remote doesn't always register, sometimes (delayed response or need to press buttons multiple times) But I rarely try to use it anyway, doesn't affect the function of the unit. Sounds like any other portable air conditioner.

It does not cool 700 sqt ft I’ve had it on 68 for an hour and half now and it just now getting comfortable in one room the other room can’t even feel any difference still hot! Definitely not worth $300

I had to replace my portable A/C that I had for several years that started to have condenser alarms (yes I cleaned out the condenser coils) so I knew I’d better get a new one before the heat of summer set in. I use this in my bedroom which was converted in an attic area. Despite insulation, it can get pretty darn hot up there. First thing I noticed is that this unit is extremely heavy. I could move my old one up and down the stairs for cleaning but I had to have help with this one. Even the UPS man commented on how heavy it was. Secondly, setup of the unit itself is easy but the window kit and hose gave me some trouble. The hose doesn’t feel like it fits very well and after a while of finagling it around, I finally got it attached but there’s still air coming out on the top of where it connects to the unit. As one other reviewer mentioned, they do not include enough foam insulation for a normal sized window and in all the places they recommend. Fortunately I still had some from the previous unit. As for the operation, I’m still not quite used to the fact that when it reaches temperature it just stops running. My old one would keep the fan blowing but shut off the condenser. So now every time it shuts off I have anxiety that it stopped working. I suppose that’s more energy efficient. It is very quick to cool but my problem has been with the thermostat itself. I understand they’re not 100% accurate and my last one I had to set at 68° just to get it to 72° in the room. This new one has a bit of an identity crisis with the thermostat. I can have it set for 70° and it will still be running when it’s 69°. Then in the evening I can have it set to 70° and it’s not running but it’s 74° in the room. I’ll wake up in the middle of the night and it’s not running and the room is warmer than it’s supposed to be so I have to turn the thermostat down to get it to kick on. Currently it’s 78° in the room and the thermostat is set for 70° and it hasn’t kicked on yet. It’s very frustrating.

Quieter than the LG it replaced, higher quality than the Mideas that I looked at, mount for window is strong and nice compared to the Delonghi A/C's my friend has, hose has heavy duty mount to A/C and to window, sleep mode goes down to a 4th low speed and the lights go out for sleeping and all you hear it the compressor running. This is the best heavy duty professional packaging I think i have ever seen.

Negative stars for: Performance, Power, Advertisement omissions, Quality of attachment parts, and Portability. Positives: Noise level and easy to set up I have a 12,000 BTU and this under performs it. The description is deceptive, because it does not have "ASHRAE 128" (tested under ideal settings) following the 14000 BTU rating and / or include "10,000 BTU (SACC). "SACC stands for Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity which is calculated using the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) standard - which is considered closer to real world conditions. A yard away from the portable a/c on high fan and cool, I barely feel it. I brought in a fan from my attic to help the cool air carry farther. I will say that it does operate for a long hours before the unit begins feeling warm. I'm dealing with humid, Texas heat. The noise is like a low stage whisper and it is easy to set up. It is portable, but barely because it is so low it, the wheels do occasionally catch in my tile's grout grooves. Additionally the exhaust hose seems frail and yet stiff, it has slipped out of it's window kit connector twice now (Once while on today). It was easy to set-up and does fit my windows which are under 40" wide. The Window unit is easily adjustable thanks to the butterfly wing bolt. I would have preferred an additional non-adhesive foam piece for the space between my screen and the window. The exhaust touches the screen, but hasn't damaged it (Screen pocket is 1" (groove / space in window frame between screen and window track); and measurements from screen to exterior window track the window kit sits on is 2" deep).
