  • Great little camping grill! Compact and Lightweight for hiking!
Size: medium
I do a lot of camping where I stay out in the woods or islands on the lake overnight. I enjoy building a fire and cooking and have a lot of camp cook options. I was looking to replace an old camp grill that was slightly lopsided and picked up this 11 inch camping grill. This grill comes in two sizes and I would recommend getting the larger size. The grill came in a zilch sac and comes with a set of stainless steal thongs. At first I thought they were kinda cheap looking because they are very lightweight- but then when I packed the grill kit in my bag and went on a hike with it, I appreciated the lightness of the grill and thongs! When I used them, they functioned as expected and were not cheaply made or cheap quality materials. I was actually impressed with this little grill. It stood tall enough over the fire, and was sturdy enough to support the weight of my cast iron dutch oven. I would still recommend going with the larger size, but I also carry a bigger hiking bag, so depending on your needs and space, this brand has two options. I also think the grill was a great value for the money compared to similar products. This little grill exceeded my expectations and was easy to transport, use and clean. Pros: stainless steel, two sizes, lightweight, travel bag, compact and foldable Cons: none noted I would highly recommend the Promatelx solo pack grill to anyone who likes to cook of a fire! ... show more

  • Near perfect fit on the top of an HF 50 caliber ammo box.
Size: medium
This item is a 304 stainless steel camping grill with legs. It is the medium version, and the listing indicates its size is 11 x 7 x 5.5 inch (length x width x height respectively). Finally, an item using 304 stainless steel. That is the quality used during my career working with this type of stainless vessels. Great! The grill can be used over an open fire or over charcoal. After noting the dimensions in the listing, I thought this might be a good topper for one of my home made tiny stoves. I had been thinking of how to do this for quite a while. This grill is a nearly perfect fit to the top of a 50 caliber ammo box. I pulled the lid off, but it could also remain on, and sat the grill on it with legs extended. The fit is so good that it can barely move front to rear at all. It can move about two inches left or right, but it is then trapped and will not fall off. I made that little stove to have a side mounted exhaust to allow a greater cook and heat surface. It works very well with an exhaust pipe on the discharge, and now it can be used with its top removed as a general purpose grill! This is exactly what I have been looking for. ... show more

  • A small size that may be useful for specific things not for general use
Size: medium
Decent construction, a bit on the heavy side for actual backpacking, and really too small for car camping, other than a Dakota Firehole, this would disappear in most campfires and is a bit tippy besides. As an accessory to a small camping wood stove, I could see it being useful. It may fit your needs, but pay attention to the measurements and be aware that all the photos of it in use are photoshopped; not sure anyone ever tried this in the field ... show more

  • Smaller Than Expected but Still Handy.
Size: medium
This little 11" Solo Pack grill is tiny — just enough room for a tea kettle or a small meal — I honestly thought it would be a bit bigger. That said, it’s still very useful! The foldable design makes it super easy to pack and carry, and the stainless steel construction feels sturdy and well-made. It’s perfect for quick outdoor cooking, picnics, or a simple campfire setup when you don’t need to cook for a crowd. I also love that it comes with its own carrying bag, which keeps everything neat and ready to grab for the next trip. Even though it’s small, it does the job — a cute, compact, and functional little grill! ... show more

  • Quality Small Grill That Packs Up Easily
Size: medium
This portable grill turned out to be a great addition to my camping gear. It is smaller than I expected, but the size ended up being just right for cooking single meals while camping. The compact design makes it easy to pack and carry, especially with the included storage bag and tongs. The steel construction feels well-made and durable, giving the impression that it will hold up for many camping trips to come. It’s lightweight yet sturdy enough to handle small pots or a few pieces of meat without any wobbling or concern about stability. Setup and packing were simple and quick. The folding legs lock into place securely, and collapsing it down for storage took just moments. It fits easily into my camping bag and doesn’t take up much space. If you’re looking for a compact grill for solo camping, hiking, or backpacking, this one is a solid choice. It’s reliable, easy to use, and built from quality materials. ... show more

  • Camping grill for 1 or 2 people - Comes with bag
Size: medium
This review is for '11'' Solo Pack grill,Foldable campfire grill,304 Stainless Steel Portable Charcoal Grill with Carrying Bag for Outdoor Cooking BBQ Picnic (Medium)' I'll update the review when we use it . The item itself appears sturdy, the legs lock in place well, so I have no qualms about it collapsing into the fire. The grate has decent gaps for heat to get through, but not too big that food would fall into the fire. I got the medium one and I would say that you could grill 1 large steak or a couple of small/medium one. You could probably squeeze 3 burgers or a sleeve of hotdogs. It comes with some tongues - they are OK.... don't let them get hot! All in all a good grill. Lightweight and easy to set up and collapse away. Doesn't look hard to clean - and the fact that it comes with its own easy to clean bag means you can clean it later. Photos: Regular sized can of Campbell Soup ... show more

  • Too small to be useful
Size: medium
This grill is too small to be actually useful. It's too small to put over normal-sized firepits. It's compact, but I would not bring this with me for backpacking - it would be unnecessary weight. There are much better options for lightweight cooking equipment. So, it's rather useless. I'll probably throw it in my camping stuff as like a backup option if I really need something like this, but I'm doubtful it will actually be used ever. It seems of decent quality, at least. ... show more
