This was a waste of money. I'm glad I got the smaller, cheaper one so I didn't lose more. The lens is made of a thin, flexible but brittle plastic that feels like it would be easy to break. The rest of it is made of particle board and also feels fragile, particularly at the joints where you fold the lid back to form the stand. The lens is a fish-eye design, and while it does indeed magnify what you put behind it, it also heavily distorts it, especially around the edges. It makes me nauseated to use it. There's also a lot of glare and reflection, and the only way to minimize that seems to be to use it in the dark. The one I received came with a large scratch on the front of it, but it was packaged in such a way that I won't be able to return it. The box was wrapped in tight cellophane like a CD, and the item was squeezed so tightly into the box that I had to rip it open just to get it out. I feel like I tossed nearly twenty-five dollars in the trash. It might have at least been useful for a book if it was taller. I have a Nintendo Switch on it in the pictures.

Nice idea, but not designed quite right. The magnifying screen tab does not easily stay in the grove of the base. Also, the magnetic roll up end broke after not that many uses. I taped back together with masking tape. I kept it since it serves a purpose, but should have researched other options.

Just got this today! No assembly needed. Just roll up the back stop and raise the screen and move out the support base. This has made it to where I do not need my magnifiers to watch YouTube or movies. I wear 2.25 magnifiers.
