Ok, so I ordered this headset monitor for long roadtrips with this kids and let me tell you... this revolutionizes in-car entertainment. It offers so many more features and functionality than I thought- its an entire android system in itself when I thought it was only mirroring. It does support phone mirroring and a touch screen but you can also use and download apps separately .Additionally, the inclusion of WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, USB, AV in, and FM capabilities allows for so many options for connectivity, enabling users to access a wide range of media sources. It does not work with a Roku stick. It errors with the "HDCP" error screen on the Roku and will not play video. All of the Roku fix suggestions do not work -unplug all cables, restart, try different video settings, try a different HDMI cable or input (There is only 1 HDMI input). Before you get to the error, the Roku also warns you that you can get better video by using 4K, but there is no way to get it to work. You are forced to select 1080p. There is no remote so if your kids can't reach the screen to enter anything on the touch screen, including adjusting the volume. Seems this is a major oversight. I'm going to try it a few more times and if I can't get it to work I'll be shipping this thing back and trying something else. UPDATE: I received a response from the vendor. This unit is NOT compatible with Roku, which explains the errors. I ordered a new Firestick as it specifically says the units are compatible with a Firestick. Nope. That does not work either. I plugged in the Firestick and switched to HDMI input on the screen. The HDMI logo comes up, then it switches to the Firestick and I see the Firestick logo. It sits there for a few seconds then goes back to the screen's default HDMI input logo. Then the screen goes blank and nothing happens. I had to hold the power button down for 10 seconds and select "reboot" to get back to the main menu. So these are boxed up and headed back. Maybe these were defective but it's too expensive to try and use without a remote or a HDMI device that has a remote. The remote app that goes on the phone did work, but the screen is so small it's not practical to use, and you can't be driving and trying to control the screens for the kids. A good idea with poor execution.

With that being said, there MIGHT BE options, I have an electric car and frankly ALLLLLL the different wiring diagrams for my car scare me. Srsly there are PAGES of wiring diagrams. It's probably way more than a regular car and I'm not electrically knowledgeable enough to not screw something up. :( None of that is the fault of the item/seller, at all obviously. However, if you have a regular vehicle, this is a v.solid monitor for car trips sigh, although I'd recommend the mounting, it's a bit unwieldy to just hold. Unless you have large hands I guess lol. It's also got a bit of heft to it, which is solid. And it worked fine when I tested it out on a nintendo switch inside and had no issues. But then I realized that I am not going to be able to get it in my car. Sooo.. that ended the testing period. Sad face, this woulda been really awesome for my car.

I snagged this headrest monitor for road trips with the kiddos, but it's way more than just a screen. It's a full Android system! Mirroring phones? Check. Plus, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, USB, and FM radio? Yes, please! The storage is ample, and the display quality is stunning. Perfect for car rides or even extending my laptop screen. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it for the versatility and entertainment it offers.

At first, Disney worked and the play store worked. Al of a sudden… a month after using it, Disney+ needed updated and when I tried to use the play store to update, it says that Disney + isn’t compatible with the device. The only other way to update it is with their 3rd party sketchy updating ”App Store called APK where they make you agree that using it could compromise the security of your device. The problem is, I hit “always update Disney using the play store” so I had to factory reset the screen. We’re now having more “buggy” issues. Disney + still will not update using either “store” we’re out over 400$now and can’t return it, as it conveniently happened after 30 days. My concern is that eventually all the apps will need updating and nothing will work.

This is not just a monitor but it has a built-in Android system that you can upload files, connect to WiFi, and even wirelessly cast your phone to the monitor. The monitor also comes with an HDMI port for you to connect your device and use it as a regular monitor. The picture quality is good enough to watch any latest content on the internet. This is one of the best portable monitors I have reviewed. The screen looks incredibly good. Everything is so smooth. Scrolling through the touchpad is flawless. I would definitely recommend this for anybody that has kids and wants to keep them entertained in the car. Or just a portable tablet for your computer that's what i'm using it for. Yes, it's kind of expensive, but it's worth it if you go any cheaper than this. You're not gonna get a good portable touchscreen monitor. This one has so many options. It connects my Samsung phone with no issues. Also connecting to my laptop with ease!!
