This wire is very stiff. None of my jelery cutters could cut it. I not only needed to use my son’s toolbox wire cutters, but I got blisters trying to cut it, and had to have my son cut it for me. He also got blisters. If that is what you are looking for, then do it. My problem was that it was not even raining, and it was delivered in a paper bag and it was wet. I was going to return it in case it tarnished, but it didn’t and I kept it. I made a spiraled bracelet that I used to practice weaving and design. What was in my head as a very very new beginner of jewelry design was not possible. But it is so strong that I was able to practice things I was learning, like weaving and wire lacing for butterfly wings, and I plan to figure out a way to use it for making decorative hair combs for my daughter’s wedding. I’m telling you, it is very strong. I would never think of this as dead soft, I’d say you could make woven car chains with it. Which is not in my wheelhouse. If you have a hammer and anvil, it would hammer really hard. I just have a beginner jewelry hammer and steel plate, and this wire laughs in my face. ... show more
