I bought this portable air conditioner as a gift for my aunt who lives in an older home that turns into a sauna every summer. She has tried fans, open windows, and even ice packs wrapped in towels, none of which really helped. This unit has been a huge upgrade for her. It is compact but powerful and with 10000 BTUs ASHRAE it cools her living room quickly and quietly. The included remote control makes things easy and she loves not having to get up to adjust the settings. Setup was pretty straightforward although the window kit took a little patience. We accidentally installed it upside down the first time which resulted in some colorful commentary from my aunt. Once corrected it fit snugly and has not given us any trouble. The unit itself is easy to move between rooms and she especially likes the sleep mode. It stays quiet at night and does not freeze the room out. We did run into a couple small quirks. One time she accidentally switched it into dry mode thinking it would cool faster and then spent an hour wondering why it was not working right. Also during a particularly sunny afternoon we realized the room stayed cooler if the blinds were closed. That was not obvious at first but it made a big difference. Overall this was a great gift. It keeps her comfortable without cranking up her energy bill and the 4 in 1 features make it useful for different seasons and needs. She is no longer stuck rotating between three different fans and her dog seems to have claimed a permanent spot right in front of the unit. If you are looking for an effective easy to use cooling solution for someone or yourself this one does the job really well.

I purchased this as a replaement for a window ac unit. And I also was needing a dehumidifier and this does both the window kit plates that comes with this ac was a little to long to use in my window horizontally and to short to use just the one plate piece so I had to trim just a lil bit off but it is easy to do just measure well and use caution so you don't crack the plastic plate. After trimming I just used some weather stripping foam at the end I trimmed I also used weather stripping on top and bottom of plate in order to give the window a more airtight seal and used weather tape to make sure everything is air tight. The hardest part of installing ac was putting the silver insulation sock on the vent hose it was a little hard to slide it all the way on and getting it to stay close where the vent hose connects to the unit but it is well insulated protection for the vent hose, the ac rolls to and is easy to roll around I have wood floors but I also have a shaggy area rug and it rolled across of it with no problems , I haven't used it for to long yet due to season beginning to change but it cools well so far I'm not sure how well the dehumidifier is working because there hasn't been to much liquid coming from the unit. But so far I really like it and I like that it was easy to install much easier than a window ac unit. It is a lil bulky and takes up a bit of floor space because you have to allow so much room from the wall for the vent hose and you have to have at least one foot of clearance all the way around ac unit for ventilation so if you have a small space you might want to think about the room you will need approximately 3 to 4 feet square feet of floor space maybe a little more. Also the drain pipe isn't long enough to go out of a window so you will need a bucket to catch the water or drill a hole and make a drain from the floor or wall to the outside . only used for a short time But so far I really like it easy to install works well cools very quickly so much easier to deal with than trying to install a window unit and it's portable so you could take it anywhere that has electric and a window for ventilation. So far I really like the ac unit and was glad I didn't need help installing it

Excellent product I can highly recommend this portable air conditioner. It cools the room like never before this works better than the central air conditioner. I previously had in my home before the condenser went out. Great deal not expensive. Highly recommended. This will cool your room like never before I had to get a sweater it got so cold. PROS - The air conditioner unit is a trooper. Cools very well and shuts down in standby mode when temps cool down. It also has a “sleep” mode which gradually warms so you don’t get too cold at night. Noise level is fairly quiet. CONS - The exhaust hose is thin and very flimsy (thinner than other room A/C units) and is difficult to feed through the heat sleeve that came with it. It won’t stay in place on the fittings either. I finally duct tapped it to the fittings and I’m praying it stays put otherwise it heats up the room. Also, there is no way to turn off or dim the display lights on the unit. There are two fairly large white temperature displays on the top and side. I finally duct-tapped over them so it doesn’t disturb sleep.
