What a joke ! TLDR, buy a better unite. I would love to tell you how this thing runs, but I cant. Reason being... well lets start with this 1. The window adapter is so laughably small, it doesn't fit my window. Its also so comically flimsy, its not standing up to any type of wind. 2. I already know most portable ac unites have these pathetic window adapters, so I spent more money on an actual window kit. Which is rendered completely useless due to the two hose being of differing size!! just... Why ?? 3. Speaking of hoses, I hope your window is practically on the ground, because that's about all the length of hose they give you. Even trying to get something to work I had to set this 70lb unite up on foot stool just to get the hose to bend as needed to reach the universal kit (which again would work if the hoses were the same size) and it was pulling the hoses out of the unite while also pulling the bracket out of the window. 4. Buy something else... just, no on this one. See the price like me and think "oh yeah, that would work great." I'm sure it will after I spend another 40 or 60 dollars in longer hoses, another window kit, and a pack of adult beverages to calm my nerves. This product would get a 0 if possible because its not useable out of the box. The company that made this needs to do better.

These are great. Have a couple, placed in different places. When our home A/C heat pump broke, this was a MUCH cheaper option. A/C is also pretty affordable to run ( in the south). They work together to cool the house, and we keep doors closed to rooms we don't use much. Not any loader than a window air conditioner

Bought this less than 1y ago. Stored it indoors over the winter. Turned it on again last week. It stopped working. Fan runs but no cooling. When it worked it cooled the room nicely. But for the money, I expected it to run longer that 11 months.

This unit cools my attic that has been converted into a room pretty well. I am pleased with its cooling performance and how quiet it runs. The heat mode also works well. BUT what they don't tell you is there seems to be a low temperature cutoff. If you were pulling the cold air from outside you might get an error code that says F8. You have to remove the intake hose and allow it to suck in the room air. Of course this lowers the efficiency. I don't know exactly what temp it decides to stop working. I wish this was stated in the description or specs. There is also no information in the manual about error f8.

Day 1 review: far more efficient than a single hose system. Overall this is a great units and it cools even a master bedroom fairly quickly in 110F weather with cheap and leaky windows. Pros: Consumes about 1150 watts steady state without the 25% inefficiency of a single hose unit needing to cool the compressor with the air it just released into the room. Whisper quiet compared to my two other units Air filter is really easy to remove and also gives great access to the metal fins for deep cleaning Two drain outlets, one midsection and one at the bottom Cons: The two hoses are not of equal diameter - the inlet hose is narrower. May make finding a replacement more difficult The unit weighs a lot, about 70 lbs The outlet fins are not adjustable Blue LEDs on a device that's meant for night use I definitely recommend giving this system a try. It has free returns.

Heater function does not work. Amazon 0 help. Manufacture 0 help if they even are still operating. It's just appalling that Amazon is choosing to continue selling a defective item. I've jumped through hoops trying to get help so much that the last time they just kept passing me on or hoping I would go away. At least there was one competent associate who was able to tell me that the f8 code had to deal with pressure somewhere in the unit being high, so now I can hopefully get it repaired. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM go to somewhere local. Amazon has lost my confidence in buying things like this from them.

I have had this unit for almost a year, and while I almost returned it in the summer, because I was highkey scammed, and there is NO WAY this actually functions as an air conditioner solution. It is a bulky & overpriced Fan with a bunch of buttons and a hose. Stay far away and buy a couple oil-filled radiators for your heating option. This does nothing but pull in room temp air, and blow it back out. For $400. I will be returning it within my 1 year time frame.
