Nice unit, a little bigger that I thought (I didn't look at the specs) but is well suited in size and functionality for my need. The silent mode is a nice feature as is the timer. Is very portable, the wheels move freely and smooth. It does come with the window insert to move the hot air out, so that is convenient. The feature of the swing that is really cool to baffle the air can stop to a certain direction desired or just leave it circulating. The remote control displays the functions very clearly and easy to distinguish its functions. The touch display is easy to figure out and self explanatory. It has a decent EFR rating for its size comparatively. Its multifunction capability of a dehumidifier is nice as well and works as expected in limited use. Great product, the instructions are decent although it did come with a sort of filter that was not mentioned in the pamphlet but figured out by the notch it goes in the EVA Filter Housing. Is is the best one on the market, probably not - but, I’m using it now, and it will help drop a small room down a couple of degrees. I did initially think the hose drain would not be needed, but it is easier just to have it discharged either in a bucket, or outside. You also must put the vent in correctly, so that the hot air circulates out correctly. It’s sleek, digital controls. Second summer - I will update when needed. ... show more

IV bought the 14k black too for my upstairs works great had it for a month not one drop of water out of it yet I even bought a small sump pump to push out the water and haven't even got to try it out yet and my upstairs is a attic converted into bedrooms so during the summer it gets really warm and so far the 14k has held up pretty good very happy with it ... show more

I bought this AC to go in a 600 sq ft place at the beach. The instructions aren't the best but sufficient. It didn't take me long to install it but you will need some weather stripping to do the job. I was happy with the quietness of the unit, especially with sleeping at night. I was a bit disappointed in the cooling. It would not keep my small place cool enough on a hot day. At night it did cool and cut on and off as it's suppose to do. I found that it has to be connected to drainage all the time or it would cut off and show to be full of water. The bottom port would have to be drained. It's on the bottom next to the floor and there was no adapter the size to screw on it to drain. So therefore I just had to let it drain into a towel so as to not get my carpet wet. Once I connected the upper drain to the full time drainage hose there was no problems with it cutting off. Overall, disappointed in the AC with its cooling ability. I would buy another brand if I had it to do over. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a great ac for my basement. It has been keeping us cool all summer long and it doesn't take up alot of power so we are able to have other ac's on as well. I will say, that on cooler summer days, ice tends to build up in the vents pretty fast and the tanks fills up after defrosting. It is pretty low to the floor and its heavy to lift up to drain, I have to have someone help me lift it and put a big bowl under it to drain. Overall, I highly recommend this ac for basement apartments! My dad got this for me. ... show more
