Purchased for a 30ft camper to replace the propane one. Works amazingly and very easy to install. No hard wiring plugs right into a outlet. 13gallon is plenty of hot water and if it’s turned all the way up u can’t touch the water that’s how hot it gets. Threads on the inlet and outlet were crap. I needed to actually rethread them. Instructions? Hah. Forget about it. It feels cheap. It isn't going to last I know it. I bought it for the physical size. If you don't have McIver Skills then this might be a big disappointment for you. Update. After the above I took to the task of doing the installation under the lower bunk on my travel trailer. Got it in and affixed the Pex with a diaphragm pump used for system draining. Noting again what everyone has stated before " there are NO real instructions"... NONE. I fiddled with the setting and within an hour I had water temp where I wanted it, and the recovery rate seems very good for a 1500 watt heater. First camping trip is this coming weekend. I will post any issues or updates. UPDATE 9/5/22. After a season last year and an over winter break this little gem worked flawlessly all season long. Great little compact heater. Water heater was purchased for supplying warm water for bathing dogs in a home grooming studio. Lasted less than a year. 4 mos after purchase, the inline GFI overheated, melted and had to be removed. Was not overly concerned because I had unit plugged into a GFI 110v circuit anyway. When I contacted the seller, they promised to send a replacement unit after I sent them pics of the failed electrical GFI. Never received replacement. Then a few months later, the entire unit failed with a monsterous leak, destroying the electrical inside. Seller refuses to stand behind product. I purchased a tankless that is far more effective and a zillion times less expensive to operate. ... show more

Seems like I got a refurbished heater to start with. The PEX fittings from Home Depot did not meet with the threads like they should. Home Depot should be the standard. But they fit good enough (sort of). I had to trim the red and blue plastic to get the fitting on. Once again... Home Depot is the standard you need to be compatible with. I think the T&P valve is just a P(ressure) valve. Technically that's all you need. The third nipple is for the anode. I would prefer a fourth for a T&P valve. I will probably remove the anode and put a good T&P valve in. Lastly it has a digital thermometer. I don't understand why the water temperature can't be set this way. It requires trial and error to figure out the temperature you want. If you're stuck with a fixed size on an RV or boat I would recommend this. Otherwise get a 25 gallon electric from wherever sells it. ... show more
