I do like this rod for cranking, it’s pretty solid and gives enough strength to pull in crank baits. I will say however the tip of the Rod was broken when I received it so I had to buy some replacement tips.

The rod is fantastic! Awesome action. Absolutely love it. I have the spinning rod also. But the biggest problem is you can only run one line on it. No tippets or leaders on braid. The eyelets are sooooooo tiny that a tippet knot grabs as it goes through. If you were only going to do a 2-3 foot leader maybe.... but if your knot is running in and out of the eyelets it casts terrible. So if you run straight mono or floro you're good. The second thing is the hook catch. It's behind the reel. It's exactly where you hold the rod with your hand or put the rod in a rod holder. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen... so I hook my lures on the eyelet frame. Which I hate doing. But for the price.... man it's a nice rod. ... show more

Handle broke in my hand as i was reeling in a fluke. Never, ever, have inseen this happen. What a piece of junk. Buy a real rod from a good company.

The rod is very nice. A little different then the pictures, as the foam grips are grey and not black. Dosent look bad, just a little different then pictures show. Besides that, I am very pleased with the rod. All the eyelets are strait and in nice shape. The bottom part of fhe rod has a finish on it, but the rest of the rod feels like its ribbed. There was no flaws in the finish, the reel seat is nice. I am overall very happy I got the pole, especially since it was on sale! Will report back if there is any issue, but I'm not expecting any. Can't wait to try it out! Edit: this rod is awesome. Have even caught a huge snapping turtle on it! Stayed strong! I would reccomend this rod to anyone who needs a heavy action! ... show more
