A friend of mind had purchased another brand…. The type where you have to open the door to turn the pizza. We loved it until I purchased this one.. the spinner at the bottom keeps the heat in and makes it so much easier to use.. and btw, my friend purchased another one…just like mine!!! That really should tell the high rating for this pizza oven. Also this oven comes with accessories that his did not.. ... show more

This pizza oven has been great, both gas and wood pellets made great pizza. The first pizza cooked in 90 seconds, wasn't ready for that and burnt the first one. Love the ability to rotate the pizza without opening the door. I would suggest operating the oven at 650 not 900. The only negative I would say is the lack of cooking suggestions / cookbook, but there is plenty of information on the internet. ... show more

    • Wow, this thing is fun to use and makes great pizza.

Set up a party out on the deck and let you guest make their own pizza! talk about a pizza party! I put this together in about 2 hours (I missed read the instructions and had to re do something). I have a wood furnace that I use to make pure wood charcoal. I fill the fire box with oak, light it and let it burn for 30 min or so. Then I cut off almost all the air to the fire. Next morning, 15 to 20 pounds of pure wood charcoal! So I use my wood charcoal to cook the pizza. Which is great and flavorful. But pure charcoal is a foundation. I've added mesquite, hickory, apple and pear wood chips to the charcoal. A tip for better flavor smoke, get a smoker chip box and soak your wood chips for a few hours before adding them to the oven. Each one adds unique flavor to the whole. pizza. I've not tried it with gas yet, I'm having too much fun cooking with wood! ... show more

This is an excellent outdoor pizza oven. The gas flames are circulated great. You can fire the oven up to the 700 degree pizza temperature with gas; then plug the wood box in to smoke and cook your pizza for 3-4 minutes. This oven has an innovative rotating stone turntable so you don't have to open your oven and turn your pizzas from where the flame source is in the back of the oven. My unit did not come with the gear drive under the oven that rotates the pizza stone. Seller sent me a knob. Seller has yet to send me the small gear drive after 4 months. ... show more
