I ordered the Nlur 12 X 25 Compact Binoculars for wildlife and sky watching. The binoculars come with a carry strap, lens cover, carry bag, and cleaning cloth. It also comes with a very concise instruction pamphlet. The binoculars themselves are made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and have a nice rubberized grip. They only weigh .6 pounds and are small enough to fit into your coat pocket or purse. The focus is adjustable by using the central focus knob in the middle of the binoculars and the visual adjustment ring on the right eye cup. These adjustments work well and I have been able to zoom in on some really small details using them. The eye cups are made of rubber and the area that comes in contact with your eyes is very flexible and soft. You are supposed to be able to bend the eye cups back if you wear glasses. You can bend them, but they do not stay bent back. Regardless, you can use them as is with your glasses on, but I found it easier just to take my glasses off. Per the Amazon ad, the lenses of the binoculars are supposed to have some sort of green coating to give you better brightness, however, if there is green film on these lenses, I can't see it. Both sides look like clear glass to me and my family members, despite holding it up to various types of light sources and looking at them at various angles. Nevertheless, the lenses work just fine and I have had no issue with brightness at this point. The ad also states these binoculars are IPX7 rated, meaning it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. That said, the box and the instructions do not reflect either claim and, in fact, the instructions state to be sure to store your binoculars in a moisture-free area. Therefore, I am not going to test their waterproofness, for fear of ruining them. It seems that these key selling points would be on the box with the other selling points, if they were accurately describing the product. Overall, the Nlur 12 X 25 Compact Binoculars are very small, lightweight set of binoculars that are a great for bird, wildlife, or sky watching, (note - do not look at the sun) and would work fine for children or adults. The price point is very reasonable and they work great, allowing me to zoom in to very small details, while holding the focus position. The strap and the lens cap are kind of afterthoughts, in the fact the strap is already fraying and there is no way to attach the lens cap to the strap so you do not lose them. But for the price point, you really can't whine too much. Yet, the claims in the ad about the FMC multi-layer green film on the lenses and the waterproof IPX7 standard seems to fabricated, so I definitely would not put them in water if you can help it. Four stars, removing a star for the lack of FMC multi-layer green film on the lenses and the fact I can't verify if the binoculars are waterproof or not.

I have used binoculars throughout my life here and there. I am no means an expert on it, but I do know what the binoculars does and how I like to use them. This binocular is definitely one of the better ones I have had. It's easy to adjust the binocular to the distance of your eyes. It comes with a neck strap so you can just hang it around your neck. The vision out of this binocular is quite rich. So far, I have been using these binoculars for watching birds and stars. Definitely liking it.

I recently purchased these for a vacation where I was going to be in a kayak frequently looking for birds. When not on me, I kept them in a water tight bag on the kayak. Reaching into the bag to grab my phone to take pictures did add moisture to the bag. The binoculars were never submerged but apparently enough moisture was added to the bag to ruin the binoculars. Perfectly fine binoculars for dry land birding, but definitely NOT waterproof.
