12x24 Multi-Purpose Silver/Brown Heavy Duty Dry Top Poly Tarp (12'x24') From the Manufacturer This Silver/Brown reversible polyethylene tarp is a full finished size opposed to other "cut size" tarps. The super heavy duty polyethylene material is 5.5 oz/sq.yrd, 14 X 14 cross weave, laminated on both sides, and UV treated for maximum weatherproofing and tear resistance. High strength rust resistant grommets on each industrial capped corner and approx. every 18" around the perimeter along with a rope-reinforced hem add to this tarps long lasting durability. This is a great multi-purpose tarp that can be used around the house and/or work place.

I've bought 3 of these so far, I use them to cover a 19 foot sailboat over the winter. They are exposed to a lot of wind, I get two years of use out of each one. After the first year there are some small holes due to being exposed to some sharp edges. For the second year I duck tape the holes, then reverse the tarp end for end, by the end of the second year they're pretty much done for. I've tried the lighter blue tarps, but never had one last half way through the winter. These tarps are the most economical for me, and are, at least, as good as any HD tarp I've used. ... show more

We are using this as ground cover for the above-ground pool we purchased. I'll review that pool as well now that we finally set it up. The sizing was just right for the area we created. We have it under gravel, astroturf, river rocks and of course the pool. We applied ground nails for the astroturf and spikes for the edging into this tarp and haven't had any running or tearing problems. So...so far this is working out great, but if anything changes I will be back for an update. On a side note...my husband was worried about ordering this because some reviews said they did not get the side they ordered. This was not our case and I wasn't worried with Amazon's easy returns on defected and item errors, just make sure it does not say otherwise when ordering. ... show more

It lasted one tough winter of record rain, winds and one storm after another for months. Did not rip or tear. We ordered it in September 2016. In June 2017 it started fraying in the middle, after a tough winter. It did not leak. We took it off in July and took it to recycle. Ordering a replacement now. We were impressed it held up so well with the storms we had last winter. Don't expect it to last more than a year but if the quality is as good this year as last, it should be sturdy through a winter. We're moving. In order to prepare the house I'm decluttering and putting stuff in storage. We have an outdoor unit this time. When I rented the space (10x24) the woman recommended putting down a tarp to reduce dampness from the floor. In addition it looks like there may have been a previous oil stain so I needed something to protect our stuff from any dirtiness. I got this tarp because it was the least expensive of the lot in this size and one piece. It fits our storage space nicely with the spare extra folded over. Can't complain so far. Since I will only be walking on it or pushing a dolly I suspect it should last. I'll update this review when we finally move out of our storage space (which will probably be in about 6 months if all goes well). ... show more

More HD than I expected for the price. Meets and exceeds quality and price found in Walmart. Hope I remember where these people are next time I need a covering like this. I have this on the roof of the RV I live in because I could not find the crack in the plastic shell. Tree limbs fall and hit this thing and birds peck at it and it still holds out the rainwater for good now these past four months. Best I've found since the old tarpaulin days of heavy canvas covered with that oily substance. Those don't seem to be what is regarded as a tarp anymore with the huge introduction of plastic. This particular line is not a regular duty sold as heavy duty, and the price is unbelievably low for the large size. ... show more

We bought this tarp to cover our 20 ft grill area. It's tied down and has held up great against 55 mph winds and 3-4 snowstorms -- at least 45+ inches of snow. Very happy with this purchase. So far, no tears and the grommets are holding up well. We have the brown side facing up and it blends in nicely with the backyard (as opposed to bright blue, neon yellow, etc). Price was very reasonable (we expected to have to replace within a year, given the horrible winds we have in our area). So far, so good. Arrived early and in excellent condition. Not really "heavy duty" but I should have expected as such for the price. It's already getting brittle and threadbare after a few weeks of sun. You can see the sunlight through the weave of the tarp.
