  • Heavy duty
This is a very good quality 10x10 blue tarp. It is sewn well and has reinforced grommets on the corners. The package also includes a set of ball bungee cords. They work well if you are attaching the tarp to something small and close by. I put it up on the front of our three sided goat shelter when we had below freezing weather for a few days and it has kept the shelter nice and warm by blocking out a lot of the wind. My only complaint is that it is a tiny bit pricey (26 at time of writing.) Other than that, a solid 4.5 stars. ... show more

  • Easy to use
I ordered this heavy duty blue tarp to cover the big chicken coop and prevent rain and snow from entering inside in the cold winter. I tied the tarpaulin around the chicken coop using the 19 pieces of heavy-duty rope that came with the product and secured it easily. It's been through a storm, and so far, it hasn't torn apart or blown away. I'm not sure if it's durable, because that takes time to prove. ... show more

  • Nice cover for the patio
We built a paver patio over the summer and researched ways to protect it over the winter. We settled on this tarp, it covers part of our 18 x 20 patio. There are holes along the edge that could used to tie it down. However we elected to just put our patio furniture on top of it. Since installing it we've had heavy downpours, and accumulating snow and ice and It has performed very well. We bought a different brand to cover the rest of the patio. It was half the price but it was not as thick as this one. Because of that I don't think it will be as durable or last as long. Next season we'll be purchasing this one. ... show more

  • Far better quality than I expected.
I know you can buy "blue tarps" at really cheap prices. They are less "mils" and just the sun will make the plastic break into tiny and tinier, ever smaller particles that blow on the wind, and run off eventually gets them into our oceans. I have seen that even if the cheap ones are "UV resistant." This really feels better quality the moment you open the package. You get that same feeling the first time you unfold it for use. I like having the grommets every two feet, so it ties down well and has a neat appearance to what you are covering. There seems to be a pretty heavy coating on this that is clear and makes it water proof. I don't know how long that will last, but new it will hold water in a pocket and not let the water seep through. It has cording and reinforced seaming around the edges as you might expect, but again, this seems like that cording will last longer than the less expensive tarps. I had no problems and saw no issues with pulling it tight, using strong rubber straps with hooks (commercial duty), rather than bungee cords. This tarp is not high priced for what it is, making it a pretty good value. I have several white tarps that are made for outdoor awnings or car ports or sun shades for picnics or whatever. This blue tarp and its coating, remind me more of those quality tarps that last years and stand up to strong sunlight, than the cheaper blue ones I have had in the past. I did have one blue one for a boat cover (20 x 30) that was very much like this one. But that was many years ago, and I don't really remember how many winters that lasted. I think if you want that coating to last, don't crease it when you fold it, or wrinkle it by stuffing it hard with force into a small container unfolded. Treat it with a little care if you fold it; leaving folds loose and not creased as you go. Folding it the short way once or twice and then rolling it up the long way is my preference. Creases seem to create problems for that coating which makes the tarp seem to age more or sooner than you expect. Same goes when you unfold it out of the original package; give the tarp time for those folds to SLOWLY disappear. I unfolded this one in about 60 - 70 degree weather, and the creases disappeared just fine. I will get my use out of this one, lol. ... show more

  • Just the cover I am looking for
Size: 5x7
Used it to cover my AC, worked pretty well (see pic). It is thinner than I expected, still waterproof. Like the bungee cords, the included 10 cords are enough to tie the edge. but the cords are short, certain scenarios need long code. UV resistant coat normally means durable, need time to check how durable it is and will update. ... show more

  • comparable to HF
Size: 5x7
First photo compares this (blue) to HF medium duty (green) 7 mil, front side. Second photo compares this to HF backside. By hand, I cannot feel any difference even though HF is 7 mil and this is supposedly 10 mil. The eye-holes looks the same and is the same material. The only difference is the edge stitching. You can see that this has a folded-back edge which feel stronger than HF. However, with tarp, the first thing to go bad is not the edge but the eye. Marginal 4-stars due to this being 2x more expensive than HF, but the elastic cords are a plus. Do your own calculations and good luck. ... show more

  • A tough tarp to keep your stuff dry
It’s a blue tarp - but not your average blue tarp! Pleasantly surprised when this arrived and saw the reinforced hem and corner eyelets - never seen that on a value priced tarp before. I also liked the included bungees - very versatile for securing it quickly to a structure. I’ll be saving this one for keeping things dry and protected and rotate my older ones over to ground cloth duty. Buy it!! ... show more
