  • Handy cheap little DC controller
This thing is cheap in both price and construction, but it does the job. It's basically a wall wart but with a control circuit in it. It's likely a PWM signal that changes the duty cycle to make it go from 5-12 volts. To be clear, it does not do PWM signalling out for fans. This is purely a DC voltage control. That being said, this thing has way more uses than JUST fan control. The DC out is actually a barrel plug that the fan headers split from. You could easily plug a compatible barrel jack into the output and DC control an RC motor or an LED strip (12v max obviously). That makes it infinitely more useful than a permanent single wire with fan terminations. The knob has a physical disconnect when turned all the way off, so there's no voltage leakage and a nice tactile click to let you know it is off. For $14, this is totally worth it. ... show more

  • The Perfect Off-Label Job for Your Spare PC Fans
Every tech enthusiast has a drawer full of them: perfectly good, orphaned PC fans that were replaced by quieter or more colorful upgrades. This little kit is the magical adoption agency for those fans, letting you liberate them from their computer-case prisons and put them to work on all sorts of custom projects. My plan was to build a simple ventilation system for my electronics workbench, and this kit was the brilliantly simple heart of the operation. It's a complete, no-fuss package. You get the power adapter that plugs right into the wall, the control box, and even a splitter cable to run multiple fans. It works with both 3-pin and 4-pin fans, and it just... works. I plugged in a couple of old 120mm fans, turned the dial, and was rewarded with everything from a whisper-quiet breeze to a respectable whoosh. So, what's the minor quibble keeping it from a perfect five stars? The control knob, while functional, isn't perfectly linear. The first little turn gives you a significant jump in speed, making it a bit tricky to dial in a super-low, barely-spinning RPM. It's not a deal-breaker by any means, but a little more precision at the low end would have been nice. Overall, this is a fantastic little problem-solver. For anyone looking to put some spare fans to work cooling an AV cabinet, a server rack, a 3D printer enclosure, or any other custom project, this is an excellent, four-star solution that I would happily recommend. ... show more

  • A simple, plug-and-play solution for anyone needing extra fan ports or precise airflow control.
This multi-fan power and speed controller makes a strong first impression as a simple, plug-and-play solution for anyone needing extra fan ports or precise airflow control. Setup is completely effortless—just plug it into the wall, connect up to four fans, and adjust the dial. No wiring, no BIOS settings, and no adapters needed. The controller feels solid and the variable voltage range (4V to 12V) allows for fine-tuning airflow or noise depending on the application. It’s especially useful for DIY PC builds, older motherboards with limited fan headers, and custom cooling zones in cases or server cabinets. Being able to centrally control multiple fans from one power source is extremely helpful, and the 36W total output is generous for typical 120mm and 140mm fans. Because it runs directly from AC power (100–240V), it’s also well-suited for network racks, electrical cabinets, AV enclosures, and small industrial equipment, where motherboard fan headers aren’t available. The ability to drive all four ports simultaneously without noticeable fluctuation is a good sign of stable circuitry during early testing. So far, performance matches the description: smooth variable speed control, steady output, and clean plug-and-play functionality. I’ll continue testing long-term heat performance, load stability, and noise behavior with multiple fan types and will report back if anything changes. First impressions summary: ✔ True plug-and-play operation ✔ Drives up to four fans at once (36W max) ✔ Adjustable from ultra-quiet to full power ✔ Useful for PCs, servers, cabinets, and DIY cooling projects ✔ Runs cool and stable in early use A promising little controller that solves multiple airflow and fan-power limitations with no fuss. ... show more

  • works well .
This is a Review of 12V PC Fan Speed Controller 3Pin/4Pin with Fan Splitter Cable AC 110V-240V to DC 5-12V Adjustable Adapter FC 36W 3A (FC-3/4P At the time of Reviewing it Price is ,14.99 With a 30% off coupon at checkout Mainly got this since i need to put some fans in my Entertainment center , since im going to be putting a HTPC in it and i dont need it cooking itself so will be adding some constant airflow to the center to keep everything happy and cool . hooked up some spare PC fans i had EK vardar 1st gen so they pull alot and blow a ton of air and with 2 of them and 2 random 140 fans i had it ran all 4 fine . Only thing to note higher power fans didnt want to spin till 50-60% of the dial turned so not sure if the low end of this controller is really working or something . but once the fans did spin i was able to lower the knob to roughly 50% and they all stayed spinning . I Do Recommend this Item ... show more

  • Versatile, efficient, and perfect for cooling control
This fan speed controller is excellent quality and very practical for PC setups. It smoothly converts AC 110V–240V to DC 5–12V, providing stable power for fans. The support for both 3-pin and 4-pin connectors, along with the included splitter cable, makes it versatile enough to handle multiple fans at once. The adjustable control is responsive, allowing precise tuning of fan speed to balance cooling performance and noise reduction. The 36W 3A capacity is strong enough for most desktop cooling needs, and the build feels solid and reliable. Overall, this is a 5-star product — well designed, easy to use, and a great solution for anyone looking to optimize PC airflow ... show more
