Had to defuel my 34 gallon boat fuel tank, because of water intrusion. Pumped about 22 gallons out of the tank and into a 55 gallon drum. At one point, I stopped the transfer because I saw no bubbles to indicate fuel was flowing - it WAS flowing. All fuel was transferred within several minutes - I wish I had timed it. I especially appreciate the inclusion of a ground wire to make sure no static electricity built up in any of the components. Only problem was finding 1" ID hoses, but I ordered those off Amazon. Make sure you connect the ground wire connected to the pump to a separate ground point. The instructions do no mention this. ... show more

The pump is great. I used it to defuel may aircraft of 100LL. The threads are straight, (not tapered NPT). The fittings they send are also straight threads with O-Rings. but the O-Ring and the cavity it fits in on the pump are of a larger diameter than the fitting. I only gave 4 stars because I don't have any other pump to compare it to. As for Longevity, I've only had it a short time. ... show more
