I got this 12V 8Ah LiFePO4 battery for a DIY portable power station, and it has officially earned its place in my “surprisingly useful projects” hall of fame. First, size: I put a coffee mug next to it in the photos because that’s how my brain measures things. The battery is about “one mug of motivation” in size — compact, lightweight, and easy to tuck into places where bigger batteries would just laugh and refuse to fit. I installed it inside a plastic ammo can (because of course I did) along with a CMP12 solar charge controller, some basic battery terminals, a 12-volt USB adapter, an on/off switch, and a small charging port. It now charges via a solar panel or a cigarette lighter adapter from a Jackery, which makes it feel way more official than it actually is. Capacity-wise, 8Ah doesn’t sound huge, but it’s plenty for what it’s meant to do. It happily charges phones, iPads, and other small devices, and keeps everything topped off without complaint. No drama, no weird voltage drops, just steady power doing its thing. It’s not going to run your refrigerator, your microwave, and your neighbor’s house but for emergencies, camping, or a grab-and-go power box, it’s perfect. Easy to charge, reliable, and small enough that you don’t question your life choices when you pick it up. Overall: fun project, solid little battery, and a great thing to have on hand when the power goes out and you still want your phone charged and your coffee-related decisions documented. Enough to at least charge my phone 6 times.

I live full time in an RV and I chose this 12 volt LiFePO4 Battery because I need to able to set it up in the under storage of my RV, which has a wood floor and walls, and this battery doesn't overheat and cause a fire under there. I'm going to set it up to be solar charged, so I need to get a solar charge controller and some battery terminals. Just to be sure and because I am paranoid, I will add a smoke detector as well. I was so surprised at how little it weighs and how compact! It will fit into small spaces where other batteries wont. It is very good quality battery and its waterproof, which is great for travelling as you never know what weather you will encounter. I hooked it up to our jet ski and it performed well. With an hour out on the lake, it gave us lots of power and still had plenty of charge left. Very good value because it will outlast any other battery.

This lithium battery allowed my uncle’s power vehicle, which hadn’t been used for a long time, to run again. Previously, he couldn’t get it started at all. After I ordered this replacement battery for him and helped install it, that problem was completely solved. The compatibility with his vehicle is excellent. When we installed it together, we didn’t run into any compatibility issues. The size fit perfectly, and after installation, there were no interruptions in power delivery. It provides a strong and steady current, allowing the vehicle to start and operate smoothly. What impressed us even more is that this battery is lighter than the previous one, which reduces the overall weight of the vehicle.
