The application: 36V EzGo golf cart. UPDATE2: I have to hand it to their support group. They could not have been more helpful. First to narrow down the issue to the BMS board. Then to ship a beefier board free of charge. Took a while because it came from China. Yes, it was a bit of a hassle. But we figured out that it was that instant current request when we floored it. If we were gentle on the throttle all went fine. All is well now. Golf cart running better than it has in years. Super happy with this decision. UPDATE!: So. After contacting the seller about the problem, they provided some coaching on testing the battery package with a volt/ohm meter. I won't dive deep into the details. But it *did* help me narrow down the issue. It turns out that I figured out I could 'reset' the battery by removing the cables from either the positive or negative terminal, breaking the circuit. Re-attach (with an audible POP that is a little disconcerting) it and cart will run again. Until I put it under a heavy instantaneous load. Then it will die again. Figured out that, as long as I babied the throttle, it ran just fine. After some back and forth with the seller, they are shipping me a new Battery Management System (BMS) that is 'upgraded' to handle instant loads, free of charge. I'll update again after I've installed it. First review: The good: 1) super lightweight. Weighs about half of what *one* of the six lead-acid batteries it replaced. 2) packaging and delivery are impressive. 3) The manual actually made a lot of sense. Plenty of guidance. 4) After following the instructions TO THE LETTER (charged with the included charger to full overnight before installing it in my cart.), got in an hit the pedal. OMG!! MY CART WAS HAULING BUTT. Seriously impressive performance! The Bad: So i test drove the cart for about two miles, up and down hills. No dropoff at all. I had attached a voltage readout so I could observe it under use. Under full throttle it would only sink to 36.7 or so, 37 to 38v at idle. Super excited. Drove it down to our pier, did some boat work. Hopped back in to head back to the house. ran for about 10 feet. And just died. Voltage reader went dark. Put a multimeter to it. 100% resistance across the poles. DC volts it showed 1v. Hooked up the charger to it and the LED just flashed green off-on. Only possible conclusion is the package bricked itself after about 3 miles of use. Returning it for a refund. However, I will say that I'm definitely going to replaced it with another LiFePo package. Just need better quality. Super disappointed this didn't work out. ... show more

Purchased a 36V 100Ah battery and installed it in an old Club Car DS golf cart. Battery was packaged well and came with a charger that is a bit flimsy but it has a cooling fan. Took about 12 hours on the initial charge to get the green light on the charger. (think its a 5 amp charger). Battery charged up to its max voltage. No big deal wiring it up in the cart. 300 pounds lighter now and the cart wants to wheelie off the start! Better top end speed as well. There was no warranty included and if you look closely , it states on Amazon that you need to retain the proof of purchase. Kicker is if this company leaves Amazon prior to the 5 years you have 6 months on your warranty, and thats it. Factor that into your purchase decision. I chose to keep the battery and hope for the best. Don't expect much of anything regarding the operation or specs to come with the battery or charger. There is just a useless little two page thing half Chinese half English. Read up on how to care for and properly charge and discharge this type of battery with your own on-line research. Remember that you'll need a step down voltage converter to run any lighting or a radio on your cart. As a seasonal user I was going to go with AGM batteries for maintenance reasons and they were more expensive than this lithium battery .I will update this review after I've put some miles on the battery. Update: I drove the cart quite a bit on level pavement since installation of new battery. I wish I could tell you how many miles I put on it but I estimate 15 -20 miles and a lot of short trips over a 10 day period or so. Battery percentage and voltage stayed high for quite a while but when it got below 50% under load, battery percentage and voltage started to fall off very rapidly. I went from 50% battery (under load) to 0-10% / 32V in 2 miles. I was worried about making it home. Got back and no load showed 10% and 32V. I did not intended to drain the battery that much before charging. Also put on a step down converter to get 12 volts, but did not use the lights that are powered by the 12 Volts during this time. I don't know how much power the converter draws when not in use. Cant imaging much if any. ... show more

Started out GREAT! Then had some issues. The company, and their representative, Jennifer, were courteous, patient, helpful, and meticulous in helping resolve the issues... Mostly attributed to installing a new, stronger battery into an older golf cart. They went above and beyond to help resolve the problems, which ultimately was not an issue with their battery, as I believed. After testing wires, connections, and replacing what I believe was an intermittent throttle sensor issue, the cart runs great! Much lighter than the lead acid batteries, the upgrade allows the cart to run quicker and stronger than ever. I highly recommend the upgrade, and the Kepworth company as a replacement for aging batteries. THANKS! ... show more
