    • Surprisingly easy install and great sound!
I was a little skeptical at first and wasn't expecting much. This thing is solid though. Installed in my 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Installation was actually not as hard as I thought it would be, and it came with a complete wiring kit which was even better. I've never done something like this and I was done in about 2 1/2 hours. From what I could tell, it's a pretty standard installation, but you will need a few tools most of which I'd bet you already have if you're thinking of doing this yourself: wrenches for disconnecting the battery, maybe some screw drivers, some pry tools if you want to hide the wires behind trim, and a wire crimper which is $10 if you just want a cheap one to get this job done. Honestly, channel locks will get the job done, but a proper crimper will do it right. Also, grab a fuse tap appropriate for your interior fuse box as well as a 5A fuse. These will be used for remote power signal to turn the amp on and off with the car. Most auto parts stores will carry these or you can get them on Amazon. Make your power cable (ring on battery end, add included fuse within 18" of the battery), run the wire through a grommet in the firewall, connect it to the amp. Add a less than 18" ground wire from the amp to a bolt. Add your remote wire. Then there's the matter of connecting it to a source. If your head supports RCA output, connect to that. If not, you will have to find another source. For me, it was connecting to the left rear speaker wire, but doing it under the driver side kick panel next to the left foot (easiest place to access in my truck). I recommend using posi-taps if you're going this route. Less destructive to the factory wiring and gets a perfectly good signal for the sub. Once you're hooked up, tune the gain, bass, and crossover to your needs. It's really that simple if you do your research into your vehicle before beginning. I'm really pleased with the bass quality so far. I'm into a lot of different music genres and this has handled them all great. Got this sub and don’t get me wrong at first it worked great sounded good and was happy with my purchase. Then I went out the other morning to go to work and the sub wasn’t working, so I get to work and check everything and I have power, everything is connected just as it should be but it just quit working and I have no idea why but it doesn’t work anymore more after just a couple of weeks. ... show more
