We purchased these units just in time for a shift in the weather and tested them in a range of temperatures—from around 80°F during warmer days to around 40°F during a recent cold front. So far, they’ve been performing excellently. They’re very quiet, easy to install, and provide quick heating and cooling. We’re now using these instead of the 5-ton central A/C unit we originally installed, and we couldn't be happier with the switch.

This unit has an excellent price/performance ratio and had everything needed for a simple installation. Be advised, you will need a vacuum pump and gauge kit that works with R32 refrigerant. I watched a few you tube videos and bought a tube of Nylog Blue gasket and thread sealant for the r32 fittings and it went leak free the first time around, which I was able to verify with a halogen leak detector which was advertised to work with this refrigerant. The instructions are spotty and overly brief, especially where actual day to day operation is concerned with the remote, but we were able to figure it out by trial and not too much error! That being said, where this product shines is in the company's service support line. I opened up an email chat with them a couple times, and, despite the slowness caused by very different time zones, the company reps handled the issues I had perfectly and very quickly. It's this service behind the sale that will cause me to recommend this brand, time and again. Hats off to a very good product, and an even better team standing behind their products!

Nice and cold! This was my first time setting this up for the house. Other than me making sure the drain hose was not going uphill I’d say a simple setup. Allow enough time to do it right or just have a pro do it less headache. Anyway. Super quiet and my sun room is crispy cold!

I did a lot of research on Mini Splits before making this purchase and let me tell you a dirty secret. Almost all mini splits are practically the same. Companies order them as OEM units and rebrand them under their company name. So why pay extra for a rebrand. The biggest thing you are paying for is - customer service. That is where Mountman shines. They were able to help me fix my problem very quickly. You can tell the care about their customers. Since you are not paying for a rebrand this is going to be a great value. Dont let some of the negative reviews scare you away about arriving with dents. Thats the shipping people banging up the packages, not Mountman's fault. I am using the 18000 model to keep my mango growing greenhouse warm, and it works great. With a little electrical knowledge and a vacuum pump you can install this yourself in one day. I've already recommended this unit to my friend.

However we had a power outage recently and the board in the fan coil doesn't seem to respond anymore. Tried to find a replacement but cannot locate one anywhere. Really would like to get this unit up and running again.

Unit does not work well in the cold. We've had a week of 40s to mid-thirties weather, and it is unable to keep my well insulated 20x13 with 7ft ceilings space anywhere near temp. Even on turbo it is unable to keep the temp above 50. The unit was professionally installed, it just doesn't put out the sort of heat that they claim. In the photos the unit had been run continuously for several days and never won Scott anywhere close to temp.
