We now have 7 chickies & two more still "cooking". Set up was easy. The water bottles held almost enough water to get through 21 days for chicken eggs. The auto turner was nice. We put in 10 eggs and so far 7 have hatched, 1 was unferilized and two are still in incubator. Very happy with the incubator and proud of my hens and rooster for giving us some good eggs. Once a chick was hatched, I took auto turner out because it's foot got stuck under it. Once chick dried and transferred it to crate, I put turner back in. The candling light wasn't very strong- but we had some thick egg shells- so we ended up using our cell phone light to candle. Over all really happy with the incubator.

I have a higher end incubator that I have become familiar with, as far as temperature and humidity fluctuations, alarms, etc. I normally hatch 10-12 chicks each Spring. I decided to purchase another incubator, something smaller, to also hatch ducklings this year. Since these are potential living beings, it is important to me that settings be accurate. I easily set up the unit and followed the directions for adding water and setting temperature. Again, it was quite easy and I was surprised at how quickly the temperature went from room temperature (64 degrees) to my preset temperature of 99 degrees. In 12 minutes, the unit said it had reached 99 degrees. I had a thermometer inside the incubator to assess the accuracy, and it was 4 degrees less. Not terrible if consistent- I’ll just set 1-2 degrees higher, but it would be nice if it were exact. I will say that the lid must be securely attached to maintain set temperature, and twice I thought it was but realized one corner was offset so be sure to check each time. There are two water bottles for humidity, only one is needed for the first 18 days. There is also an egg candling light on top of the unit, and a small air adjustment to aid humidity. Of the few cheaper options that I have evaluated so far, this one earns an A-. This set also included log sheets, and a few non-essential but nice extras.

It works- we’ve hatched one clutch of eggs and it was great but our lid doesn’t close all the way. This wasn’t allowing for the humidity to be correct and I have to put plastic wrap around the seal for it to hold the right %.

I ordered this incubator for our first experiment with growing chicks. We've never done anything like this before, so we weren't really sure what to expect. When researching incubators, I looked for certain features... I wanted an incubator with a digital screen so I can set the parameters and make sure the temperature is just right. And I also wanted the egg viewing lamp so we can check for fertilized eggs. Of course, I'm also glad it has automatic egg turning and humidification system, but I figure that's a standard feature on all of these units. This incubator has all of those features, and it seems to be very well made and should last a very long time. The incubator is a decent size, not too big and not small and cheap looking. I think it's a nice looking unit and I can't wait until we have hatched our first set of chicks. It's also cute that it comes with a little fabric outfit for your first born chick to wear. Such a cute touch. I wonder who thought of that??!! All in all, from what I can tell, this is a wonderful incubator and I'm really glad i got it. It's a very easy to set up and use, and it's a good value for the money, and I think it's going to serve our family well. Can't wait until the first eggs hatch!

This incubator works as expected, the display temp and humidity were off by about 1 degree and 7% but I have that issue even with more expensive incubators as always recommend a secondary hygrometer for peace of mind with ALL incubators. I even use them in my cabinet incubators that cost over $1K. That being said this will likely be the last of this type I own. I find the turner to be really agressive and if you're working with shipped eggs incubating them upright and a more gentle turner will serve you well. Again there is nothing wrong with this incubator. But for the price, if you are working with shipped eggs there are better choices out there.
