    • Not a 230 volt mini split, and is it really Energy Star rated?
I bought this mini split because the description said it was Energy Star rated and needed a 230 volt power. I had an already existing 230v supply line that I intended to use, so that's what I wanted. I also didn't see anything saying it was Energy Star rated in the documentation that came with it, which I may need to get a rebate from from my electric company. Me and a buddy experienced in HVAC went forward with the installation, and that went ok initially. The wall template worked well for us, and we had enough line to make our connections, although the control wire length could have been longer. We vacuumed the lines and had no leaks. When we powered it up the outside unit did not come on. Going back over everything we saw that the outside unit was labeled as needing a 115v connection, not 230v. We moved the white wire load line from the breaker to the buss bar at the breaker panel effectively converting our breaker to 115v, and the unit powered up. Not what I wanted, though. Functionally the mini split is heating up the room, although I'm not sure it the thermostat control is working as the room gets warmer than what it is set too. I may not be using the remote properly? I set it to 72, heat and the fan on low, and the temp it the room gets higher than 72. Haven't tested the cool function yet but don't have a reason to think it won't work. I also haven't tried to get a rebate from the power company, so we'll have to see how that goes. If you need a 230v mini split better confirm with the seller before purchasing, and if you want Energy Star certified you better ask them for more proof on that, too. For what I paid (less than $500) I'm just going to run it. ... show more

    • No QR Code for App or Alexa
Works great with the remote, but does not come with the QR Code to activate it in the app or Alexa. You can't contact the manufacturer or product seller on Amazon, and Amazon customer support doesn't have a clue about it, and barely speaks English. I tried reaching out to manufacturer from an email I found on Google, but that went no where either. So if you want a mini split that you can control with the app or Alexa, this one isn't for you! Guess I'm gonna tear it all back down and return it as the listing states i could use it with Alexa or their app, and i can't! Fail ... show more
