    • Simple solution to fix a Scag Freedom Z mower that periodically failed to crank
I used this to replace a dying starter solenoid on a Scag Freedom Z zero turn mower that uses a Briggs engine. About half of the times I turned the ignition key I would hear the relay click, but the engine wouldn’t crank. A post mortem of the old solenoid revealed a lot of carbon on one of the contacts. This new part was a drop-in replacement that fit the same mounting holes, making the repair very simple. It’s nice knowing the engine will crank every time I turn the ignition key now! ... show more

Looked the same as original and so far has done well. It has done what it is supposed to do. Was not hard at all to change. I put this on my Toro TimeCutter MX4260 (42") 23HP Kawasaki Zero Turn Lawn Mower. I was very happy with the price. We will see as far as quality.

Don’t waste your time and $ on this part. I only mow our property once a month or less, so this thing only lasted for 3 or 4 mowing sessions. So frustrating, especially when the mower shuts off way far away from the house and tools. Only a 30 day warranty so I’m S.O.L…
