My husband has done his own mechanic work and had his own mechanic business for a few years. He said this was a perfect replacement from the original and they did make it designed to fit multiple models and makes. The one thing he mentioned that he said might throw people off is the holes are not threaded but you put the factory Bolt right in the same hole that the old one came out of and it will thread the hole just like a self-tapping screw would but you have to have the factory bolt because they are Auto grade which means they're harder than the metal that you're screwing them into which is why they will thread the hole as you screw them in. He said you have to hold it firmly from behind and press the bolt into it while you're twisting it to tighten it and it will feel like it's being cross threaded as it threads the hole like a self-tapping screw. After the threads completely clear the metal it will feel normal after that. ... show more

My ZT1 was "clicking" but not starting...and I had just used it 4 days before, with no problem. So, I reseached some videos on YouTube and figured out the solenoid was most likely the problem. This Tecreddy 725-06153A Starter Solenoid fit my Cub Cadet ZT1 50 inch Zero Turn Mower, Model #17AIEACL010, manufacture date of 10/20/22, perfectly. This Tecreddy 725-06153A Starter Solenoid arrived the next day. So I removed the original solenoid and compared it to the new one. The photo I took shows the Tecreddy 725-06153A Starter Solenoid on the left, with the 12V DC label on it, and the OEM on the right. So I could see it would be a perfect fit. If you have not ever done this, as I haven't , I suggest you take photos of how the OEM solenoid is connect prior to removing it so you will remember how it was connected. Remember to connect the "ground" wire back to the ZT1 or the battery will spark when you connect it...even if you have the spark plugs disconnected as I did. It took me about 30 minutes to install the new solenoid because I dropped two of the nuts when re-attaching the Positive and Negative cables back onto the battery and solenoid, so I had to scrounge around in the grass to find them. So it doesn't take that long to replace this Tecreddy 725-06153A Starter Solenoid. Once installed...BAM! I was back in business and started mowing! ... show more

Works perfectly.

Works completely perfectly with only one minor difference from oem. For context I used this on a Husqvarna 18542 42” riding mower with the Briggs and Stratton 18hp INTEK engine. It mounts up fine until you go to thread the bolt into the base on the opposite side of the “hook”. The original part had a threaded hole there that securely fastens the solenoid to the body of the mower. This one requires a nut that isn’t included to fasten to the bolt as it has a straight pass through hole with no threads. A simple fix and it works perfectly but keep that in mind if you’re not someone who has plenty of spare nuts and bolts lying around to allow the proper mounting of this solenoid. ... show more

Exmark 60” must have, unless you know how to jump off with a screwdriver. Solenoids go bad suddenly. So keep one on standby to keep you going. I cut 14 acres per week during season and I have to replace one every other year along with belts and pulleys. I recommend this brand and make.
