Common causes: 1) Current too low – increase by 10–20A. 2) Poor ground – clamp to clean bare metal. 3) Flux covers rod tip – pinch off the coating to expose the metal core. Keep rods dry. Why did the welder suddenly stop working? The welder may have shut off due to overheating protection or overload protection. Wait 3–5 minutes for it to cool down, then restart. Also check if the power cord is securely connected and the input voltage is stable.
